We drove nearly three hours each way to get to Elk Grove Subaru (four times!) and it was well worth it. They had a fantastic price on the internet and that is what got us there. However, the price was the only the beginning of this being a great car-buying experience. There was a problem, a big problem with our sale. I think at this point most dealers (at least the ones I have worked with in the past) would have said, "sorry," and let the customer walk. Dickson said something like, "I can't make any promises but let me see if I can work this out." He called us back and had gotten us exactly the car we wanted - all options, everything. All businesses will have misunderstandings; this is where Customer Service is tested. It is at this point a business can blow it with a customer or earn a customer for life. Dickson made sure that it all worked out for us and we are very happy customers with our new Subaru. Elk Grove's commitment to delivering great customer service is real - not just a slogan. Plus, Subarus are fantastic cars and the new ones are even better and nicer than the old ones we have come to love after many years of driving all kinds of conditions with no problems. My new car buying expeience was very pleasant. I first contacted the dealership by internet inquiring about a car I was interested in. I was ready to but a new car. I was nervous about purchasing a new vehicle because it was new experience to me. I was help by Mike Waller. He was a great guy! He help me with pick out a nice car and help me stay with in my budget. He went about and beyond and stayed open late to help purchase my vehicle. The finance manger was awesome as well. Paul Lanza help me through the purchasing and finance of the vehicle. He was a funny guy and made my experience there fun and relaxing. I am glad to be able to work with two great individuals who help me choose what I need for my vehicle and ease me in to purchasing a new car for the first time. I would like to thank all the staff for being great and understanding. They are one of the most friendliest staff that I know that is willing to work with around the customers. Most retail do not. We were offered an excellent price via the internet, and the car lived up to our expectations. The detail work (we drove away in a new car that had been on the lot/in the showroom for three months) was not the car lived up to our expectations.
