Horrible! They kept my car for 3 months for a repair that should have taken 3 weeks. Worst part Brian and office manager don’t return phone calls and when you do get them on the phone they can’t give you any time frame on your car. They blame my insurance company or the Mercedes dealership for the delays. Offered me a $500 rebate after the fact but I would have to sign to not disparage them in any way. I told them no way I would not give them a review. Stay away from these people. They don’t care! More
I picked up my car a month ago and it was missing some parts. Because they were unable to locate these parts, they had to place the order. I do not live anywhere near the this location, but I took time ou parts. Because they were unable to locate these parts, they had to place the order. I do not live anywhere near the this location, but I took time out of my schedule to drive all the way to the estimating center to pick up my parts. I was told by Alvaro that he would let the Saturday guy know about me picking up the parts. When I got there, the Saturday guy had no idea what I was talking about. Alvaro told him nothing, so I had to wait around for 30 minutes or more for him to find the missing parts. On top of all this, I was told by Brian and Alvaro that they were going to request a supplemental for the protective coating to be put back on my car. For a month, I was getting the run around. Alvaro kept telling me that they were waiting on VW, then it was State Farm. I was told that State Farm would not accept the documents I sent over as proof that I paid for the protective coating when I purchased the vehicle. Well.....I called State Farm myself and they told me that NOBODY had called them and requested anything. State Farm is sending me to a shop nearby so I can get the supplemental myself. No thanks to LAcarGuy, I should be getting this taken car of MYSELF. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. More
I went to the Lexus Service Center to getr some touch-up paint for a scrape on the rear fender...John, who works in the body shop, managed to remove the offending paint which was much better that touching paint for a scrape on the rear fender...John, who works in the body shop, managed to remove the offending paint which was much better that touching it up!! He was very polite and there was no charge....WOW and THANKS, JOHN!!!!! More
I am absolutely astounded at the quality of work on my 2007 Cayman. Astounded isn't even the right word. I have been in a lot of accidents and I have been to a lot of body shops in LA, but this was by f 2007 Cayman. Astounded isn't even the right word. I have been in a lot of accidents and I have been to a lot of body shops in LA, but this was by far, without question, the highest quality work I have ever seen. What is most ironic is that this was not even a major repair. The finished lines are perfect, the painting is perfect, the reconditioning is beyond perfect - the shop even cleaned up and blended pre-existing damage to the extent that you cannot even tell that there were previous imperfections. I expected a certain quality of work, but this was craftsmanship and clearly indicates that LA Car Guy and the shop director/manager care about the quality of work performed. I am just thrilled beyond thrilled about the work performed. More
I was in a car accident a month ago and had remembered seeing The LA Car Guy body shop passing by to and from work, so immediately after my accident I took my car to the body shop. When I arrived at the body shop, the receptionist informed that they were closed but told me to hold on 1 minute and she would try to find someone to assist me in getting a quote. I was then introduced to Jeffrey Gerber (Director), Jeffrey walked out to my car and proceeded with an inspection. He told me to bring my car back the following business day and they would take it from there, once I arrived that business day I was then introduced to the agent Ian who I would be working with. From the front desk receptionist to the mechanics working on the cars, everyone in the establishment were very welcoming and made you feel comfortable. This was my first accident and was very skeptical as to the outcome of the type of work would be done to my vehicle, I was able to give Ian or Jeffrey a call at any given time with any questions or concerns that I had at that time. When I picked my vehicle up, my car looked brand new as if I had just purchased it from the dealership.I was more than amazed, they super exceeded my expectations.This body shop is true what they say and do, and for that I want to say Thank You!!!! It wasn't just a vehicle to them, it was personal and I appreciate that.... More
