I was told the price of a Toyota 2022 MSRP carolla what is 22,400 on the phone. I went to put a deposit on the car and the price went up $5000. I asked why they couldn’t give me a direct answer but tried t is 22,400 on the phone. I went to put a deposit on the car and the price went up $5000. I asked why they couldn’t give me a direct answer but tried to sell me some products that I didn’t want. The manager came over and said he couldn’t sell me the price that was given to me over the phone. They did nothing but waste my time and I think their manager was rude. I wouldn’t do any business with them ever. More
BEWARE! Talked with the internet sales team about a 2022 Prius. Was sent a spec sheet with the price of the vehicle and was told we would have to come in to the dealership. We had every intention of buying Prius. Was sent a spec sheet with the price of the vehicle and was told we would have to come in to the dealership. We had every intention of buying the car with the price we had been given. After giving all of our information, the salesman came back and said to buy the car we would have to take their Protection Package ($4995.00). We declined, and the sales manager joined us to tell the story about the dealership having to make money, and how they hadn't laid off anyone. The car was not even to the dealership yet, so nothing had been done to it. They told us to take the protection package, or we couldn't have the car. We walked out. There is a reason this dealership has such a poor rating. Many other dealerships in the Chicagoland area. Suggest you try one of those. More
Horrible horrible experience! Stay away from this dealership! Rude and liars salesman and managers who force you to buy the extended warranty. They list the car at one price and then they move the pr dealership! Rude and liars salesman and managers who force you to buy the extended warranty. They list the car at one price and then they move the price up by thousands of dollars and I was told that if I don’t buy the warranty or finance with them they will not sale me the car. They gave me a super high rate after I told them I am approved with my credit union bank for 3times lower the rate they give me. They fulled me once but they won’t full me twice. If you want to have a customer once continue doing what you did to me and I promise You will not have a single returned customer. It’s a shame for Toyota’s brand that allows people like those working to represent the brand. Shame shame shame More
Contacted this dealership about a new 4Runner on there web site. The staff confirmed that the vehicle was available, however they demanded that I come to the dealership to negotiate the purchase. Even aft web site. The staff confirmed that the vehicle was available, however they demanded that I come to the dealership to negotiate the purchase. Even after I notified them that I was not local but I was willing to complete the sale virtually, they still demanded that the negotiation and purchase had to completed on site, even with the pandemic impacting so many people. I then started to look at dealer reviews and it’s clear that they want customers to come into the dealership so they can pressure naive buyers to purchase expensive extended warranties, artificially high financing rates, etc. More
The sales representative, Jun Suello, was very helpful for assisting us find the auto which suited our financial abilities. He did not mind giving all the.optio no s until we found what was right for us. for assisting us find the auto which suited our financial abilities. Looked up online from Dayton, Ohio. Called and spoke with Elgin Toyota's sales team. They told me the price and said there were no reserves, so I had to come all the way down there just to buy it. I asked fo Elgin Toyota's sales team. They told me the price and said there were no reserves, so I had to come all the way down there just to buy it. I asked for that quote in writing and they sent me the quote of 46,504. I flew out the next morning from Dayton, Ohio to Chicago, Illinois. That morning once I had arrived, the devils took off their mask and not only did they not uphold their quote, but told me they were charging me 51,000 (3k above msrp) then said I had to buy a clean car warranty. Who was it who treated me this way? Not just some rep. A so-called manager named Ricky. Worst human I've ever met. He lied with a grin knowing I had already traveled all the way from Dayton to get this deal done as he snaked every piece of the quote (I had in hand) off the table. I feel like it should be illegal to send someone a quote and not stand by it. These people were such a horrific nightmare that I hope I never have to work with a dealership again. Why should consumers have to go through this trash to purchase your vehicles Toyota? I will never forget what Elgin Toyota did to me, and if you have any sense, you'll go somewhere else and let this place run out of business like a bad business deserves. I'm contacting the better business bureau. More
