Josh worked very hard, not only to get me a good price and a good rate, but also to in Elgin Hyundai and their stellar salesperson, Joshua Hastings. Josh worked very hard, not only to get me a good price and a good rate, but also to insure that I left the dealership with the car I wanted. The easy-going atmosphere made the entire experience pleasant. I would recommend this dealership and salesman, Joshua Hastings, for anyone that wants to not only get a great deal on a car, but for anyone who wants to enjoy the experience of buying a car. I did research on internet, regarding the Hyundai Santafe. The price I should pay, Current Manufacturer rebates, etc. So, I was informed about what I should ask for. Then I called for quotations from about 8 Huyndai dealers around. Got responses from many. One of them Patrick Hyundai, Schaumburg gave an extremely low price. So, I set up an appointment to see a very specific configuration and color. Went there to find out that it was a bait, and they tricked me in to buy what they have at a much higher price. They were very unprofessional. I walked away without wasting much time. One other dealer was doing the same trick, but last minute they addmitted they do not have the specific one I'm lokking for. But only Engin huyndai had the color I needed. TRAVIS is the internet sales rep, who communicated with me. He gave a decent price. Others were not much far, but they didn't have the color I wanted. I aksed him to lower the price. He lowered it another few hundred $s. Since I was fooled once, I asked him to take photos of the actual vehicle and e-mail me. And he did that immediately. Even though it didn't show the color, I trusted that much. Then I walked in, and they had the color I need. But not exactly the configuration I needed. I could see Travis and Dave were not the typical blood sucking sales persons,in their eys and in their talk. So, I knew I could work something with them. Worse case, I walk away anyway. We walked through their stock and found one very close but AWD, and so higher priced than I wanted. What's good about them ( especially Travis) is that he said, he'll try to get this vehicle to the same price he promised for the lower priced vehicle. And after test drive, he did that. He gave me the AWD to the price he promised me for the FWD. So, they made up for the little mistake they did, by not having exactly what they promissed. So, I stayed in their dealership for 4 total hours until 10 PM finished all paper work, and did purchase the vehicle. To best of my knowledge, I had a real great price. And most of all Travis and Dave were, very calm and more quite and they listned to me and worked according to what I want, and not push anything down to me. I appreciate that. I'm sure having my home work done truly helped me too... Travis game a tonne of Manufacturer rebates. Other dealers mentioned 2/3rd of it only. These are great sales ppl, I recommend. But always do your homework and be knowledgable before you go to any dealership. -Vishan More
I filled out a seach request for a car. We received a call from 2 dealers Elgin Hyundai sounded like they were really interested in putting us in the car we wanted. They told us about 3 cars within our budget and one was a Hyundai Accent We drove down to Elgin when we got there they treated us wonderful. They showed us the 3 cars within our means, and we test drove all three selected the one we wanted. We had a 1998 Ranger to trade with less than 100,000 miles the trade value was very fair. They gave us the deal we were looking for. They told us they would sell us the car we wanted which was a Hyundai Accent and they came through for us. We drove home with a 2010 Accent with 8,428 miles on it for the amount we could afford. Plus they split the cost of having the windows tinted,and are having it done at the dealership for us great service!!! We were so impressed with the fact that they put no pressure on us to buy a car that we could not afford. We have been down that road to many times. I would recommend them to everyone. I spent several days working with Elgin Hyundai's internet sales team working out a deal for a used Honda Civic they had on Auto Trader. Once Travis and I had agreed on price, I told him and Marina that I would be leaving from Indianapolis to drive 4 hours to purchase the car. I asked her to fax some paperwork and then proceeded to reschedule several appointments I had that day and called my father in law to drive up with me. Just before we were ready to leave, I called to see why the carfax report had not arrived. I was transferred to another sales manager named JC, who informed me that the car was being sold to someone else as we spoke. Mind you, neither Marina or Travis had called me or informed me in any way that this was even a possibility, nor that it was transpiring and if I had not called at that time my father in law and I would have driven 4 hours only to be told upon our arrival that the car was no longer available. I informed him of this, of all I had done to clear my schedule, who I had spoken to at his dealership and what commitments had been made, I even offered to give him a credit card to make a non-refundable deposit to show my seriousness in purchasing the car. None of it mattered. He had someone with "cash there" and so integrity was not an issue, only money mattered. So, INTERNET BUYERS BEWARE - nothing they tell you can be trusted. Ask yourself this question - Would a dealership that was this willing to completely screw me and not honor their commitments hesitate to screw you as well if profit is their primary motive? And if this is tolerated in one department - I'd stay away from the place entirely. More

During this time I stopped into Elgin Hyundai to take a new Sonata for a test drive. From the moment I walked into the dealership I was warmly welcomed by Joshua Hastings who was extremely polite and more than willing to get me set up for a test drive. During the drive Joshua did a great job of explaining the features of the car as well as getting to understand my needs better. After my test drive I took the next several days to work with the various Hyundai dealers I had requested quotes from. While many of these dealers seemed nice enough none of them made me feel as comfortable as Joshua at Elgin Hyundai. Additionally, each time I came back to Joshua with a request he was very responsive and kept in constant communication with me. When it came time to make a choice I was invited back to the dealership and I was pleasantly surprised to find the offer that was presented to me was exactly what I was looking for. As a busy professional it was appreciated that my time wasn't wasted with a poor offer. Once I decided to purchase from Elgin Hyundai Joshua went to work to find me the exact color and optioned Sonata I had requested. Within three days I was I was back at the dealership to pick up my new vehicle. Once again Joshua did a great job at going over all of the paperwork as well as getting all of my settings just right inside the car. If you're looking for a good price and excellent buying experience I would recommend any friend or family do business with Elgin Hyundai and Joshua Hastings. More

I have been to Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg in the past and was very unsatisfied with the service I received there. Patrick Hyundai also wanted to charge me over $100 more for the same routine timing belt maintenance. I will definitely take my car back to Elgin Hyundai for service and if the sales crew are anything like the service crew, I will probably buy my next car from them as well. Very satisfied. More

One year later I am happy to report that my husband and I are now proud owners of 2 Hyundia vehicles. The sales staff in Elgin, specifically Josh, worked hard to get us a deal that met our budget. With a little bit of patience on our end we were able to walk out with a new 2011 Sonata that worked with our budget. While the process of buying a car is not always the fastest the team in Elgin kept us informed so we knew where in the process we were and never tried to rush us into a decision.
