After looking around at several different makes and models, we finally decided on the Sonota. Having done our research on the vehicle, we choose the dealership closest to my house, which happend to be models, we finally decided on the Sonota. Having done our research on the vehicle, we choose the dealership closest to my house, which happend to be Elgin Hyundai. From the moment we walked in, we were greated and welcomed by Dave Taub. After listening to what our needs were, he pulled up a vehicle for us to test drive. During the ride, Dave pointed out several of the features of the vehicle and also gave us reasons why the Sonota was better than the other vehicles that we were comparing it to. We had decided to think about the purchase overnight and I had told Dave that we would get back to him. He said no problem. There was no high pressure to purchase right then as we had experienced from other places we had visited. We gave Dave a call later that afternoon and told him that we had decided to go ahead with the purchase and we would be in the next morning. Because we were going to be with 2 young children, I had asked to get as much done as possible before we got there. Upon arriving the next day, I was very happy to see our car parked out front all cleaned up and ready to go. We spent about 45 minutes finishing up all the paperwork before leaving. Dave went through all the stuff on the vehicle before we drove away and thanked us once again for the business. The fact is is that I should have been thanking him for making the whole car buying experience an easy and wonderful one. So, thank you Dave. You have earned a customer for life. More

Mr. Taub was very helpful and friendly. He walked us through our selection and purchase very efficiently. He had driven an earlier model of the car we selected (the 2011 Elantra Touring GLS) and was ver through our selection and purchase very efficiently. He had driven an earlier model of the car we selected (the 2011 Elantra Touring GLS) and was very familiar with it, as well as with the other models on the floor. He took pains to introduce us to the floor manager (Mike) and other staff members. At one point George had to leave us for a few minutes and Mike used the time to shows us the service area. Working with Finance (Octavio) was efficient and pleasant. The purchase was an unexpected one (an older car had failed and was not economically repairable). Mr. Taub and Elgin Hyundai made buying the replacement car as easy as possible. We had not researched this model on-line and Dave let us use one of the dealer computers to access the internet (Edmunds etc.) so we could make our decision on the spot. We did not feel pressured in any way and Dave made us feel like we were in control of the buying process. As a result we were able to take possession of the car 24 hours after starting our search, which covered four other makes and dealers. The price was very fair and Elgin Hyundai made every effort to get us all applicable rebates and reductions. Facility well laid out and easy to get around in and to find in Elgin. Will definitely visit when we replace our other old car. More

I had a great experience at Elgin Hyundai, from the time I walked in the door until I drove out in my new Elantra. I'd been car shopping for a couple weeks and had terrible, frustrating experiences at a couple other dealerships, but I never felt pressured at Elgin Hyundai. Josh was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He answered all my questions and really worked to make the deal work for me. I got a very fair price for my trade-in, and everything was explained very clearly. I had to return the next week for my floormats and a second key, but even that went smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elgin Hyundai to anyone. I hope to have this car a long time, but when I do replace it, I would start there. More

This is our second Hyundi vehicle and were very please with the sales person David who went out of his way to se personal but with the service DEpt. Well this could have gone a bit better (I will explain) but I have to say they worked their A**es off to make a deal for me and get me into a car that made me happy. I did get more than I owed on my SUV trade in and a fair price on a used Hyundai. The car I bought was under the original warranty for years and miles and was just traded in. The car was purchased there new, all the service was done there and then it was traded in there. The car did need some attention, which was promised at the time of sale. Here's the trouble part- 1) The car was sold after bank hours and they had to guess at the rate and payment amount. REALLY! So a couple of days later I signed the final and took the shorter term/higher payment. Anyone hear a bait and switch thing here? Be aware there are reasons people hate dealers. 2) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET BANK APPROVAL, AND CUT A PAYOFF CHECK...I got a call from the bank my trade was with over 2 weeks after I traded it in looking for my payment. I called the dealer and was told it was being sent overnight that day(lie), it still didn't arrive to the finance company for a few more days. I was starting to get calls at work!!! 3) It took them WEEKS to get the part in and I had to call THEM to find out if it was there and get the work scheduled. They had the money and were in no rush to make good on the work. Now once it was set up they gave me a brand new car to drive for the day and completed the repair with no problems. I had to point of some other minor things to service and they did take care of those things too. I was surprised that these things even existed considering all the service on that car was done at their dealership... One of the minor things I had to point out to them was the car only had one key, come on now guys, dealers cut keys for crying out loud! They actually contacted the original owner and they dropped it off to the dealer the day I had it in getting the new bumper cover installed. So anyway, I am happy with the car and don't think it was a total ripoff. Just the sales dept. are kinda like what you'd expect. I was quite sick of them by the time our business was done. More

JOshua stayed in touch with us making us aware of where the car was in the procurement process as well as when we can expect the car arriving at the dealership for us. Joshua also thought it was important for my wife and I to meet the Service Manager knowing that for any type of service that may be needed at least we've met the Service Manager who would be taking care of us. The overall experience dealing with Elgin Hyundai was quite pleasureable compared to other high pressure car dealerships we have visited. I feel our deal was fair or else I wouldn't have signed on the dotted line for a new Elantra and I would highly recommend others to deal with Joshua and Elgin Hyundai. More
