Started with the internet department, liked it enough to go to the store and was passed on to salesman Dave Taub. The two salesmen I dealt with were Dave and Kevin and both were friendly, low-pressure, knowledgeable and very helpful salesmen. They were efficient without rushing me answering all of my questions. They seemed genuinely excited and proud of their product. I rated Elgin Hyundai lower because of my experience in the Finance Department. I felt the Sales Manager tried to get me to purchase extras that I had already refused under the guise that it was my only way to keep my financing to 72 months. Now I know why I've always paid cash before because I felt the finance department was deceptive. With all that being said, I would still return to Elgin Hyundai because of the sales staff either with full payment in hand, my Credit Union financing me or knowing now what to expect when I finance with a car dealership. After having a disappointing dealer experience with another dealership (Rosen Hyundai in Algonquin) My girlfriend and I were looking for another Hyundai dealership with which to conduct our busniess. Our salesperson at Rosen we felt was uninformed of the product he was selling and was less than helpful in finding a the car that we were looking for. So the next closest dealership for us was Elgin Hyundai and boy are we glad that we moved on from Rosen. Immediatly within walking through the doors at Elgin we were greeted warmly by Josh and within 5 minutes of talking with josh he ushered us that he would help us find that he could have the car that we wanted within a few days if not by the end of that day! Rosen Hyundai told us that the car that we wanted was going to take 3 to 5 weeks if we were lucky! Anyways by lunchtime we had bought the car that we wanted for pretty much the price that we wanted and within 2 days we had the car. Overall it was a great experience with a great dealership and I would highly recommend Josh Hastings our salesperson at Elgin Hyundai. More

Once we were done making the deal and filling out the paperwork they didn't just rush us out of the dealership either. We were taken around the entire facility and introduced to all the dept. managers. After that, Dave Taub, our salesman spent a great deal of time with us going over all the warranty specifics and the features of the car we just bought. The whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend that anyone looking for a Hyundai should definitely go give the guys at Elgin Hyundai a visit. I honestly went into the dealership just to browse not really sure what to expect being it that it was my first car purchase. I ended up making the buy on the Hyundai Sonata brand new and it was something i never expected to do. But with the information i received from Dave i found it worth whiel to make the purchase. I was on the lookout for a decent used car, and Hyundai was the preferred manufacturer, because of its jap reliability. Visited a few showrooms and Elgin Hyundai had the best collection of used cars.
