Purchased a 2024 gmc canyon 9-5-25 and was told it would be ready next day (Saturday) I went Monday it was not ready and they did not attempt to inform me. 30 minutes drive one way wasted. Vehicle was fina be ready next day (Saturday) I went Monday it was not ready and they did not attempt to inform me. 30 minutes drive one way wasted. Vehicle was finally delivered 10-20-25!!!! Warranty for vehicle was finally put in place Late December. All through this all communication was initiated by me. This is by far the worse dealership I have worked with in the past 50 years! Beware, they promise but do not deliver, they do not know their business from manager to sales person to finance person. More
I purchased a used Tahoe from this dealership December 2025. They were all eager to sell me the vehicle. Its a very long story, but I purchased the vehicle on the agreement that they would fix three thing 2025. They were all eager to sell me the vehicle. Its a very long story, but I purchased the vehicle on the agreement that they would fix three things with the vehicle. The first fix went well, the 2nd and 3rd items did not. I had to constantly stay in contact with them/or go by there to get the items fixed. My vehicle sat there a week due to them not wanting to sign the papers that they would cover those fixes that we had agreed upon. (make sure you get copies of ALL the paperwork when you purchase a vehicle. An associate in the service dept. even spoke with the sales team about the paperwork for the fixes, and it still took a week. I was told for three weeks a specific item for my vehicle had been ordered, and it in fact had not been. It was hard working with this sales team, they would promise one thing and then not follow through. I finally got the items fixed, but I will NOT purchase another vehicle from them. I suggest going to Ash County NC or Wilkesboro NC to purchase a Chevrolet/GM vehicle, not Elevation in Boone. They did not even fill it up with gas after I purchased the vehicle. If you are a female purchasing a vehicle yourself, do not go to Elevation. If you do, take someone with you to assist with the vehicle purchasing process. More

At Elevation they are up front and give you the best price up front. We had a deal worked out in 30 minutes. We worked with Mark and the owner actually came in and helped make the deal happen. If you’re looking for a new or used vehicle I highly recommend. Gained a life time customer. More
If I could leave a zero I would. Service department is terrible besides the nice lady who answers the phone. Christine the service manager did not like me being upset with their poor Service department is terrible besides the nice lady who answers the phone. Christine the service manager did not like me being upset with their poor performance and when I told her I would talk to the general manager she hung up on me. Then when I went to pick up our vehicle for a warranty claim they would not give me keys back until “ the paperwork was found and paid”. Well of course Christine had the paperwork with her magically and they finally gave me the keys to leave. I will leave terrible reviews everywhere I can because this isn’t the only bad experience with them recently according to other locals who use to get their service work done there. Stay away from this service dep and to be honest the business in general. I requested a call back from her boss and that this would be rigged and it’s been over a week now with not a single call back. More
I was sold a 2022 Jeep Wrangler back in June. No one informed me of an issue with the Carfax report. The report I was shown was clear of any issues. I waited until September to try to refinance m No one informed me of an issue with the Carfax report. The report I was shown was clear of any issues. I waited until September to try to refinance my Jeep with my bank for a lower APR (save money) and when they pulled up the Carfax there was a report of there being an odometer report issue Iisted. Since then, I have called numerous times to the dealership to try to resolve the issue and spoke to many different people with no luck. No one ever calls me back or contacts me in any way to fix the issue. I have made several attempts by calling the dealership to get the document(s) I am needing to take care of the Carfax report I am still having an issue with. The odometer reading report is still showing on the Carfax report, and because of that I cannot get my vehicle refinanced by my bank which means I am losing money because of the APR being so high on the loan. And if I ever decide to trade or sale the vehicle I cannot because of the report on the Carfax makes it look like there is an issue reported with the vehicle. This has been an on-going issue for me since September when I tried to refinance More
I do not recommend this dealership! All employees I dealt with have no integrity, from the GM down. I agreed with the GM on a purchase price of a used car. The sales contract did not All employees I dealt with have no integrity, from the GM down. I agreed with the GM on a purchase price of a used car. The sales contract did not reflect our agreed price. I only learned this after the car was delivered to me. Not only was the sale price misstated, price packing was used without my knowledge or concent. I definitely do not recommend using this dealership! More
My daughter is a student at App State. Her 2014 Chevrolet Sonic needed a timing belt replaced. I tried to get it fixed at the dealership here in Raleigh where I get all my work done, but t Her 2014 Chevrolet Sonic needed a timing belt replaced. I tried to get it fixed at the dealership here in Raleigh where I get all my work done, but there was no availability that lined up with her breaks. The estimate provided for the work was about $899.00. I contacted Elevation in the beginning of October and was able to get an appointment for the work to be done on 10/30. The vehicle was brought in first thing that morning and my daughter was told the work would be completed by the following day at the latest. I called the dealership on the morning of 10/31 and the person I spoke to didn't seem to have any knowledge of the work being performed, and once he got some more info, he told me it was "unthinkable" that the work could be performed in such a short timeframe but that he would check with the shop. I got a call later that same day telling me that the vehicle was being worked on and would be ready at the end of the day. However, I then received an immediate call back telling me that they had ordered the wrong part and that they would need to reschedule the service. I was told that they would call me once they had the part and then get the vehicle back in "immediately" to have the service completed. On 11/4, I got the call saying the part was in. When I asked when my daughter could bring the vehicle in, they said that their next appointment was not until mid-December. I expressed some frustration with this given the previous issue and need to reschedule due solely to their ordering the wrong part, and was then told that my daughter could bring the vehicle in on 11/12. The car was again there at the appointed time, but neither myself or my daughter received any type of update for the next two days. I finally called the shop around noon on 11/14 and spoke to the manager, who assured me that they could see the car in the shop being worked on, that the work should take "no more than four hours", and that it should be ready by the following morning at the latest. I did not receive an update that day, so I called again on the morning of 11/15 just after 9:00am. At that time, I was told that the work had not been completed as a tool they were using broke and had to be ordered, but that tool was not going to come in until 11/17. When I expressed further frustration (my daughter works two jobs in Boone and needed her car to get around at this point) and asked why I was not called the day before and informed of this issue, the representative could not give me any answer. I asked that she have the Manager contact me as I needed more information so I could decide whether I wanted the work to continue. Two hours passed and I had not been contacted, so I called and spoke to the same representative who said that the Manager was going to be calling me as soon as she was done with a customer. Another hour passed with no call, so I called again. The same representative told me that the Manager had spoken to my daughter, even though the instruction was to contact me, and that the work would be completed Monday morning. At the end of the day Monday (11/17), neither my daughter nor I had received any update. It was not until this morning that she was called and told that the work had been completed. I had told my daughter that if they contacted her to have them contact me as well, and I did receive a call from the shop. I asked for a breakdown of the charges and a total, and was told that the cost to repair was over $1400.00. When I told them that I had been quoted just over half of that amount at a Chevrolet dealership here, all the person said was "I don't know what to tell you. Not that I think it matters to anyone there, but Elevation lost a customer today. I have owned Chevrolets all my life and received nothing but top-tier service and professional care from every dealership that has ever performed work on one of my vehicles. This was the exact opposite. No communication. No consideration. Nothin More
Car Buying Experience Review Overview I closed on a used GMC pickup truck on September 5. As of today, October 31, I am still waiting for the final piece of paperwork to complete the transaction. This used GMC pickup truck on September 5. As of today, October 31, I am still waiting for the final piece of paperwork to complete the transaction. This has been, by far, the worst car-buying experience I have had in the past fifty years. Communication Issues Throughout the process, I found that no one at the dealership returned phone calls or responded to text messages as promised. General Manager Adam made several verbal promises that were not kept. While I acknowledge that I should have gotten these promises in writing, I trusted that he would honor his word. Problems with the Vehicle The truck needed a new tailgate, and Adam assured me it would be installed the next day. However, it took more than three weeks for the tailgate to be installed, and even then, it was fitted with the wrong wiring. Salesperson Derrick South told me the correct wiring harness would arrive by the end of the week, but it did not, and I received no updates about the delay. This pattern continued for seven weeks, with promised dates not being met and a lack of communication from the dealership. I repeatedly had to reach out to them for updates rather than being proactively informed. Warranty and Paperwork Issues The extended warranty that was promised was not provided, and the paperwork for the warranty that they are offering is still not in my possession. Derrick said he would mail the documents on Tuesday; it is now Friday, and I have not received them. I also spoke with the finance representative, Jason, to review the verbal agreement. Jason confirmed with Derrick South that he understood the terms, and promised to review them with Adam. He said he would call me back, but never did. Additionally, the dealership made an error with the vehicle title, creating another issue I now have to resolve. Conclusion In summary, there were numerous mistakes and a consistent lack of response throughout my experience with this dealership. I would advise others to avoid this business unless they are prepared to deal with poor communication, broken agreements, and a lack of concern for the customer's schedule. Good luck. More
