They did a inspection even though I didn't ask for one and they came and told me that my brakes needed extensive repairs. Dennis Russ took me into the service department and pointed at my tires and said that my car was not safe. I didn't know what I was looking at so I took his word for it. At the time I was broke as I had just spent all my money on Christmas so I drove my car home and parked it. For the next few months I took a cab several times a day while I saved up the money. Then I was reading the newspaper and seen another Ford dealer was offering a discount for any repairs done so I took it to them so they could do all the repairs that Elder Ford said I needed. After dropping my car off they called me and told me I needed to come back. When I arrived they took me back to my car. They had taken it apart and told me that there is nothing wrong with my car or my brakes. I was shocked and could not believe Dennis Russ tried to take advantage of a women like that. I am so upset just thinking of all the money I wasted on taxis. I wish I had read these reviews earlier as it would have saved me countless amounts of money. More
Worst service center I have ever seen. They do not care about anything but taking your money, beware! The service advisors don't seem to know much about anything when it comes to a car and the service mana about anything but taking your money, beware! The service advisors don't seem to know much about anything when it comes to a car and the service manager is even worse. Avoid this dealership at all cost! More
Recently purchased a used car from a local Dealership (not Elder Ford) who uses this service department to fix and maintain their cars. Prior to our purchase of the vehicle we took it for an inspection (not Elder Ford) who uses this service department to fix and maintain their cars. Prior to our purchase of the vehicle we took it for an inspection (to Elder Ford) where a minor problem was discovered. We came back a few weeks later to have this problem resolved and we were happy with the service we received. Our main point of contact was the service manager Mike Stultz who helped us out with the whole process. He made everything as easy as possible even sharing a little about his family with us when he found out I had a small daughter. We live 2 hours away in Orlando but would return to have Mike refer us to a sales associate if we were ever in need of another car. Thanks again. More
I thought the Quick Lane Service for oil changes is designed for "quick oil changes"? That is not the case here. It was a 2+ hour wait for me to get my oil changed! What was quick about that? I can get designed for "quick oil changes"? That is not the case here. It was a 2+ hour wait for me to get my oil changed! What was quick about that? I can get a full service in less time. Won't be back. There are other Ford dealers in the area to get my vehicle serviced at. This was insane. More
I brought my car in for warranty work. My car had less than 20,000 miles. The A/C was out and the transmission was banging into gear. Later that day my service adviser called to give me the bad news. The than 20,000 miles. The A/C was out and the transmission was banging into gear. Later that day my service adviser called to give me the bad news. The A/C had been damaged and would not be covered under warranty and they could not find a transmission problem. I brought it in to Gator Ford and they fixed both problems (very expensive) under warranty. I went back to Elder only to be told the A/C problem may or may not have been covered by Ford but were looking out for Fords best intrest. They could not give me an answer to the question "Why could you not find the problem with my transmission?" To make matters worse I left a bad review on google only to find out it had been knocked down by two good reviews. I checked the good reviews only to find out the people who wrote them also gave great reviews to Mitsubishi,Saab, and Jaguar all brought in for service or purchasing a new car all on the same day. Funny all those dealerships are owned by the same company. I am sure these "customers" are happy because of the real customers who get suckered in. More
I had no problem at all with this dealership, in fact i was in and out at less than the quoted cost because of the coupon i found online at their website. I'll be going there again and with a coupon in han was in and out at less than the quoted cost because of the coupon i found online at their website. I'll be going there again and with a coupon in hand next time since the coupon i found i found online when using my laptop in their waiting area. I've been to another Ford dealership in Tampa but was not happy with them. It was as if they didn't need me around for them to make a paycheck. So i figure these guys are really trying to impress and need the business; that's the kind of service i got. happy me. More
