Buyer beware on any warranty offer by Elder Ford. I recently purchased a used 2021 Atlas with 21k miles. Elder Ford offered a Ford Blue Certified Warranty with comprehensive coverage on anything for I recently purchased a used 2021 Atlas with 21k miles. Elder Ford offered a Ford Blue Certified Warranty with comprehensive coverage on anything for the first 30 days. After about a week I noticed the brakes were very squeaky when they were cold. The car was garage kept and it had nothing to do with morning moisture. After 4 visits they would not do the right thing and replace the pads/rotors on a $30k SUV. 1st service appointment they didn’t take my wife serious and said she was riding her brakes too much (degrading and not accurate). 2nd service visit I took the car in and the technician recommended replacing the rotors and pads. The Elder Ford Warranty department said we had to add anti squeak compound and scuffed up the brake pads. This was done and the noise went away only for 1 week. 3rd visit was on a Saturday and they couldn’t work on it since the warranty department wasn’t in. 4th visit since parts are not out of spec they wouldn’t do anything else except scuff the pads more. This experience has shown me that Elder Ford does not back up their warranty. I will definitely spread this message to my thousands of social media followers and my auto blog. I hope I can spare someone wasting their time like I did with Elder Ford. There are many dealership in Tampa (especially Ford) many better options to choose from. More
