I was told I could return the car at any time without it impacting my credit, but what they didn’t clearly explain was that this wasn’t a traditional car purchase—it was more like renting a car long-term. Unlike financing a car where payments go toward ownership, my payments at Rodeo Auto mainly covered usage, not equity. At the end of the lease, I would still owe a large residual balance to actually own the car. If you’re considering Rodeo Auto, I strongly recommend reading the fine print, asking detailed questions about the total cost, and clarifying what "returning the car" really means.
