Run from this place! !. I inquired about a truck and was told it was “available”. I made an appointment with Jonathan Clayton, Retention Manager. I then drove for ove !. I inquired about a truck and was told it was “available”. I made an appointment with Jonathan Clayton, Retention Manager. I then drove for over an hour and a half to make that “appointment”. When I arrived I was informed the truck was ‘on loan’, he shook my hand and dismissed me!? WHAT THE …….!?!? I did well not to lose my mind in his smug face. Me personally and my time had ZERO value to this place. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Find a place that will have some respect for you. More

I was parked in the service garage entrance waiting for my husband pay for his service. We arrived at 6:50pm. At 7:03 the lights in the garage turned off and it was pitch black. I asked the guy (later told my husband pay for his service. We arrived at 6:50pm. At 7:03 the lights in the garage turned off and it was pitch black. I asked the guy (later told me his name is Barry) if he could turn them back on so I could back out. (We also had our twin 4 year olds with us and they were scared) He said they were halogen lights and could not turn back on. I asked him why would he turn the lights off if he saw customers were still in here. He told me that they were closed and it was time for him to go. He was very rude and demanding. I told him we were paying customers and it didn’t make sense. He then sarcastically said he would hold a flashlight so I could back up. My husband then came out after paying. I started to tell him what was going on and we quickly decided it was best to leave. I am not one to write bad reviews but what we experienced tonight was uncalled for, uninviting, and rude. I do not recommend El Dorado Service Department for anything. More
12/18/21:WARNING IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS DELEARSHIP AND 12/18/21: WARNING IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS DELEARSHIP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT..DO SO AT ALL COSTS..NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION. So two weeks ago I had 12/18/21: WARNING IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS DELEARSHIP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT..DO SO AT ALL COSTS..NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION. So two weeks ago I had a service done on my vehicle and specifically advised why I was coming in. 1. Needed the first service 2. Low fluid brake light and Service Stability light on. The service went ok oil change, tire rotation and mulit point inspection. However, JOSE DIAZ THE SERVICE ADVISOR did not put the second reason I was in on the initial service form I signed, Low fluid brake light and Service Stability light on. So fast forward two weeks and the lights are still on, I call again and make an appt with Mike McDonald, and was able to look up my recent service, advised that it would be a 2 hour wait and set an appt for 8 am 12/18/21 and made sure the reason I was coming is was noted on the service form. I also let them know that I live in west Frisco and I had to pick someone up at the airport at 12 noon and would wait. So I show up ON TIME to the appt and of course Jose Diaz is 5 minutes late as I see him walking in the building as we make eye contact. So no other service guys offered to help, I just had to wait for Jose Diaz. Only 5 minutes so no big deal. Then Jose Diaz proceeds to let me know he is backed up and it would take 2-4 days for them to check the lights, but did I check the brake fluid. So I say sure, before I brought it in two weeks ago, you checked it during your 25 point inspection and I again this past week. So Jose Diaz says well all we did for you was an oil change. Well I respond you changed the oil, multi point inspection and tire rotation. I also asked if he recalled our conversation about the brake/stability light and he advised that he could not. So I ask for Pete Muller, Service Manager and of course he proceeds to state the chevy service dept protocols, which I let him know that I would rather stay on the topic of my issue and to pull my prior paperwork. Of course the paperwork showed that Jose Diaz did not write in the issue of the brake and stability lights on, of course It was his word against mine and it is a lesson learned to make sure all your concerns or issues are on this initial form you sign before service. However, Jose Diaz did acknowledge that he could recall that he tried to sale me tires at that first visit. Hmmm so selective memory. So when I also let Pete Muller know that I wont ever be coming back to his dealership and confirmed that I can go to any chevy dealership for service, I let him know his employee was late, along with the poor communication and it appeared that all he did was try and defend Jose Diaz, as well as, telling me to go ahead and give a poor review if I wanted. So here I am Pete Muller and Jose Diaz. I will take your advise and do the following: 1. Made an appt at Stonebriar Chevy in Frisco, much better service dept and communication. Also made sure they wrote in all my concerns and I will also confirm before service and I sign. Lessoned learned! 2. I will never go to Eldorado Chevy again. 3. I will make it a personal mission to tell everyone I know or in a conversation about servicing vehicles to not go to Eldorado Chevy and if they do, AVOID JOSE DIAZ and if you need a manager...AVOID PETE MULLER. El Dorado Chevrolet has been wonderful to work with and extremely helpful. I purchased my car from Greg James. There was no pressure during the car buying experience and it was a smooth and easy process. extremely helpful. I purchased my car from Greg James. There was no pressure during the car buying experience and it was a smooth and easy process. I would 100% recommend buying a car from Greg - he has gone above and beyond by helping me put on my new license plates AND helping me schedule repairs (after I was rear-ended in my brand new car - sadly). I knew that all of these inspection deals before a car hit the lot were a joke, but man did I get railroaded here. I was told that they thoroughly go through all vehicles before they're sold. For an addit hit the lot were a joke, but man did I get railroaded here. I was told that they thoroughly go through all vehicles before they're sold. For an additional $1695 on top of the sales price, you would think that they would. Well they're full of crap. I have to replace the motor, transfer case and several wiring harnesses due to severe damage. I would stay away from these clowns. They are a bad joke. I'm fully aware that used vehicles are sold as is, but don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. On top of that, it's been two months since I purchased and I still don't have all of my paperwork. One of the finance people we worked with will not return emails. More
My service was terrible. My car was scratched during service. I was told it was already there with no proof! The heavy lady at the checkout counter in service was very rude. I thanked her 3 times and sh service. I was told it was already there with no proof! The heavy lady at the checkout counter in service was very rude. I thanked her 3 times and she didn’t respond. I told her she didn’t have any manners and you’re welcome should be the response to someone thanking her. The user ID on my receipt says K. Rodriguez More
Today my daughter narrowed a list of cars she was interested in to a car on El Dorado's used car lot. We used the form on the website to communicate and were put in contact with a sales person. He wa interested in to a car on El Dorado's used car lot. We used the form on the website to communicate and were put in contact with a sales person. He was helpful and eager. He provided the information we needed about the car and we moved on to numbers. My daughter and I are in Austin so we wanted things settled before driving 200 miles. Ultimately, the sales person said that his management wouldn't negotiate without us having some ... I can't remember the exact word he used ... but something like "equity." I was a little puzzled, but he said he wanted us to provide our payoff on our car and make a proposal to give his management an idea of what we were looking for. I proposed a set of numbers as: 1) sales price for your car, 2) buy price for my trade in, 3) resulting trade differential along with 4) our payoff. The sales person called back and said that he wanted to know where we got the numbers. We had already shared a buy estimate from CarMax and we simply said that we'd like to split the trade-in tax savings by splitting it 50/50. This was giving the dealership a $650 advantage over CarMax. A nice gesture on our part, I thought and I know CarMax can sometimes be tough to beat. We found the car on CarGurus and it suggested that the dealer was offering a "fair deal," but there were plenty of "good deals" out there. This car was her favorite so I suggested that El Dorado come down $1000 to make it a "good deal." The sales person said management wanted to come down $500 instead. But before I could discuss this, I received the "paperwork" which was a screen shot of the corner of a sell sheet. On that sheet was 1) the price the dealership hoped that they could get for the car 4-weeks ago (listed as "retail price" or something similar), the original sales price in CarGurus (not the price we had just negotiated), $1495 for "accessories" and then the buy price for our car (wrong) and the load payoff of the trade-in (wrong). All in all, the numbers were off by almost $10,000 to the bottom line! Before it was over, the sales team tried to roll everything back in stages seeing what they could get, but we were already calling the other dealership we were working with and finding out when they close, etc. I explained to my daughter that about one in five car deals that I do involve this kind of deceptive practice and you just never know when it will appear. We decided to not move forward simply because I don't want to drive 200 miles only to find some additional dishonest practice thrust on us at the last moment. My belief is that the sales practices come from the top, this dealership is fundamentally dishonest and you should avoid doing business with them. More
