The Service Department has been really reliable, transparent in our dealings, honest and very competent. As a woman I feel very comfortable working with them. They explain things, and if it isn't clear, they will explain until I understand what the problem is and the best plan of action. They don't get defensive, they really listen, and there is no place else I will go to have my Honda accord serviced! It is the only place I have encountered a woman Service Adviser which I really am happy about. This weekend some warning lights on my dashboard started flashing, so I called early Monday morning to make an appointment. I asked to speak specifically to either Paul Forte or Ron Maio, as I had had good flashing, so I called early Monday morning to make an appointment. Much to my relief, Paul was able to make an appointment for me to bring the car in right away. Looking at my records, he asked me if wanted to have a 60,000 mile service performed at the same time. Before I brought my car in, I made a few phone calls and did some online research with other local Honda dealers. In keeping with the policy of El Cerrito Honda, Paul readily agreed to match the lower prices for both the major service and the brake job I knew that I would need. Paul called me to confirm that my car needed new brake pads, and my car was ready a few hours later. For the most part, I have had really good experiences at El Cerrito Honda. Unfortunately, the flashing lights on my dashboard disappeared before I could get it into my service appt., so I still don't know what the problem was, but they adjusted some wires and asked me to call them if the problem repeated itself.
