I took my car for a recall service on Honda CRV. I like this dealership because it is easy to get an appointment, the service people are very accomodating of customers needs and the service gets done by th this dealership because it is easy to get an appointment, the service people are very accomodating of customers needs and the service gets done by the time agreed. I had a small problem on my new 2011 Honda Odyssey. I called my salesperson Elsa, a super friendly lady who knew me by name, at the dealership to explain the issue. Then soon after, the service manager called my salesperson Elsa, a super friendly lady who knew me by name, at the dealership to explain the issue. Then soon after, the service manager Burt called me back personally and troubleshooted the problem. He had me come right away to have it further diagnosed and set me up with a loaner car for a day. They called me several times to keep me updated on the status of my repair. The next day, even though it was an unusual problem for which they had to overnight order special parts, it was fixed perfectly and I was able to pick up my car. All throughout the process, every one I dealt with in the service department was top notch. Hands down, some of the best customer service I had ever encountered anywhere, seriously. If anything, when I think of car dealers and auto service and repairs, I think I expect some of the worst service and possibly dishonesty at times. But not at Honda of El Cerrito - Burt (the service manager) and Mel and Kent and Elsa are super friendly and determined to help and make sure the customer is happy and satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to my friends, they are fair, honest, quick, and friendly. More

i was not very happy the way we were treated after we bought a used honda pilot at the el cerrito dealership. there was a problem with the blue tooth phone, we cannot use it because it needed an access c bought a used honda pilot at the el cerrito dealership. there was a problem with the blue tooth phone, we cannot use it because it needed an access code. we were told by the salesperson that it would be hard to have that taken cared of because we bought the car for a steal! we had better luck with the manager who told us that all we had to do was bring the car to the dealership and it will be taken cared of. the salesperson when first contacted did not answer my emails, told my daughter that he will call back and 3 days past no calls, we just heard back from him when i started making noise. we take our car for service in el cerrito and they are excellent. my experience in sales is not so pleasant. i am not sure if i will come back and buy another car from this dealership... Whether it be service with Mel, or Oil and Lube with Adrian, the service is always consistent and efficient. I would recommend Honda of EC to anyone interested in a new or used car. Brought my 2005 Honda Accord in for a safety re-call repair. Service Dept Rep,Paul Forte explained the problem to be fixed. Was very knowledgeable and very professional. Bad on price because woman who answered phone said service was $109.95 and that I could talk them down. When I came in they charged me $149.95 and when I said I heard it was $109.95, he said that the service was $109.95 and that I could talk them down. They are very customer friendly. Mel explained in detail what was done to the car and what would be needed for any future service (tire life, brakes, etc). I am always glad that you have people like Mel working at your dealership. More
