2016 Pilot Elite I have owned my 2016 Honda Pilot Elite now for 1year and 6 months and I can honestly say I'm completely saitisfied with my purchase. I'm glad I came across Sales Agent Janice Ramirez. I wasn't looking for a Pilot but her intuition knew I wanted and needed something different and safer. Janice recommended The Sensing Package and it has already paid for it self 10 fold. The Navigation is Excellent but with any computer based gadget, it needs constant updating to have the latest software and routes. You can go to any dealership and purchase a vehicle, but what makes the vehicle purchasing experience Enjoyable? The person selling you the vehicle! Thank you Janne for all your Honesty and all you have done. Here is my original YELP review. My 2004 Accord hit 300k so I figured I would window shop to see what Accords were available at honda. A friend referred me to El Cerrito Honda. He said they are the only Honda dealership that included a lifetime drive train warranty with all new vehicles. My friend just purchased a Fully loaded Honda Accord and recommended Sales Rep Janice Ramirez. Janice welcomed me with a smile, firm handshake, asked how my day was going and immediately offered me a beverage. She walked me to her desk, sat me down and retrieved me coffee. Wait? Did I just walked in to a honda dealer? Or BMW? She went through the basic questions. What type of vehicle am I looking for? What will I use it for? Do I have children? Etc. From that, she offered to show me the all new 2016 Honda Pilot Touring CUV. Initially I wasn't interested in the Touring Pilot. I had a Suburban, but she insisted I take a look since it was on the way to the accord. So I did. I couldn't have been more impressed!! Janice told me that this wasn't even the top of the line model. There is the Honda Pilot Elite which is a limited production right now. They did not have one in stock, but she assured me that there were slight differences between the Touring and Elite like Captain Seating instead of a bench in the second row and heated second row seats. There are too many standard features on the Pilot Elite to mention but basically it's Hondas "Luxury" Pilot. So since there was no Elite available I test drove the Touring Pilot. First thing I notice was the interior. Soft Leather seats and everything was soft to the touch. The drive was amazingly quiet. I was sold. But now I wanted the Elite Version. Janice informed me that thier next shipment would be in a few months and if I wanted to wait she would follow up with me. Janice never appeared to pressure me into a sale or rush me into something else. Needless to day I was impressed. October came and as she promised she called back and said a Black on Black Pilot Elite arrived. I rushed to Honda El Cerrito and purchased the 2016 Pilot Elite. I am so excited to own a Pilot Elite! Everyone I encountered at El Cerrito Honda needs to be mentioned. Greg See - Sales Manager Assisted me with selecting nice tasteful accessories for my Elite and took care of my needs. He explained all that was available and at no time did I feel pressured. Oscar Hernandez - Finance Manager Worked diligently to get me the best loan available. He also sold me a Service Contract where my basic vehicle maintenence would be included within the loan. There are several options available. This is something every one needs to get. Plus they wash and vacuum your car after every service - complememtary! Mel Santiago - Service Manager One of the accessories I purchased were running boards, but according to thier appointment log I had to come back the following week to have them installed. I explained to Mel that with my current busy schedule I wouldn't be able to come back for at least another month. Mel said "Let me see what I could do." 10 minutes later Mel said he could take me the same day. When I asked how was that possible when you just said next week? He told me he went down his appointment list for the day to confirm appointments and to see if anyone who had an appointment wanted to reschedule. That was above and beyond my expectations. Mel could have easily scheduled me the following month but he did his due diligence and in the process made me a loyal customer. Larry Maxson - General Manager During & before leaving to finally drive my Pilot Elite Larry introduced himself and congratulated me on my purchase. He told me that this particular model of Pilot Elite is 100% built in the USA in Alabama. He told me that the Pilot Elite is a limited production vehicle and is the most sought after model yet. Larry educated me on the luxury features such as: Collision Mitigation Braking System Blind Spot/Cross Traffic Monitor Radar 9-speed Transmission that is new for 2016 on the Touring and Elite models. It saves on gas. Larry explained that these features are also part of the Honda lineup and assured me I made a great purchase. Last but not least Janice Ramirez - Sales Rep Never have I felt any pressure to buy. Best Sales person and customer service I have ever dealt with hands down. Anticipated and thoughtfully analyzed my needs and wants. Janice knew I would be better suited and happier with a Pilot Elite. Always had a smile even when I was being difficult. Janice even followed up on me a week after my purchase to see how my Pilot Elite and I were doing. That's first class service. Other dealerships take note. More

The first time I called I was offered a free cruise (for a small fee per person). I tried calling again and got a survey question re: my age and so just hung up. This all seems kind of shady and is really annoying when you just want to get your car fixed. More
Great customer service Since 2011 I got my 2010 Fit...I love this place eveytime I went to visit. I called the Elcerrito Honda on December 31 TH for Service. I called and requested an appointment for service for my 2015 Honda Pilot. The lady on the phone was nice and kind to give me an appointment and when I reached the Honda of El Cerrito service division I talked to service adviser Mr. Don Saechao he was extremely polite, nice, and receptive to accept the vehicle for tier rotation service at 3:30 pm on last day of the year (December 31). I have revived an excellent service, and warm greeting and welcome. More
they could done better i went in to to look at 2016 Honda hr-v test drive possible buy is my sister like it it was for her we went in and we wait, wait ,wait,wait finally s i went in to to look at 2016 Honda hr-v test drive possible buy is my sister like it it was for her we went in and we wait, wait ,wait,wait finally some one notes and said can i help you i said yes am looking to test drive the 2016 Honda hr-v he said are you buying it today i said possible and he said well if you are not buying it today we don't have time for the test drive unless you are sure you are buying the car i said what about if she don't like how the car drive then you want here to be stock with $28,000 car loan well we have limited stuff and it is kind hard to take you to test drive then you decide i said OK then we took off. this happen on 09/ 06/15 around 3:00 pm. Do not go there or make sure you call first and the will let you test drive the car. we went to Oakland Honda which is a block a way were i live we went in we get the help less than 5 min they offer us water and they had some food for the labor day and i said am looking to test drive 2016 Honda Hr v they were happy to show us and test drove and spent over an hour with the car and he don't even push to sell us the car. He solved all my problems and also suggests for the future needed service which is good for both the company and my car. FIVE STAR Dealership and Service Dept.....Recently brought our 1995 Honda Civic in for it's regular Express Service (oil change). As usual the service was handled with promptness as well as a thorough brought our 1995 Honda Civic in for it's regular Express Service (oil change). As usual the service was handled with promptness as well as a thorough inspection also carried out. Some leaks underneath the engine were found and which need to be attended to. I always appreciate the completely honest and thorough service provided whenever I bring our cars into Honda of El Cerrito. We bought the Honda Civic new from the Honda of El Cerrtio dealership was located across the street over 17 years ago. Our 2007 Honda Accord was also purchased from Honda of El Cerrito and both cars have been serviced soley at Honda of El Cerrito. The reason being we get the most professional, honest service. We are always greeted by friendly personnel who take our concerns seriously and guarantee us total satisfaction. Never have we been disappointed with the personnel or the service perfomed at Honda of El Cerrito. It is a pleasure doing buisness with a great dealership. More
I came in to purchase a new car and already had a firm offer with another dealer but this dealer was much closer to home and would provide better access for after purchase service for the vehicle. I came into try to see if they would match the offer or even come close for the car I wanted and I would have been happy. They didn't have the car in stock but the salesman said he could lot for the car at dealers in the surrounding areas. I also mention I did not want all the dealer add on optiuons which would increase the price of the car about $2,000. I was told I would be stuck with most of those options if I purchased a car off their lot. The saleman went to see if he could get approval to match the price and came back and said the dealership would not match the price. At the price I asked, they would not even bother to search for the car at other dealerships. I left thedealership without the car. Patrick Clark from the dealsership called me up a few days later and asked about my experience with them and I explained what happen and he was surprise since he mention the dealsership has a policy of matching offers. I mention the dealer options and he stated, theyonly way I could buy a car without them is be there when a new shipment arrived. He never did offer to hold one for me or even let me know when a shipment would be coming. He told me he would check about the price matching policy and get back to me..as I expected, he never did .
