YOU WILL NOT STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE LIERS AS YOU CAN!!!! THEY WILL SEL YOU A CAR AND USE YOUR MONEY TO PAY OFF THEIR OTHER DEBTS, SO GUES WHAT? YOU WILL NOT GET A TITLE FROM THEM UNTIL THEY FIND OTHER FUDS TO PAY OFF YOUR CAR AT THE AUCTION. READ ALL OTHER REVIEWS, THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR A WHILE AND, TO MY SURPRISE, GETTING AWAY WITH IT! EVERYONE WHO HAD THIS PROBLEM SHOULD FILE A COMPLAINT WITH CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND DEPARTMENT OF VEHICLE SAFETY. More

Before my frustrations of actually seeing the 2008 BMW M5 (Vin: WBSNB935X8CX10182) in person, let me begin with how the salesmen lied to me over the phone. Upon viewing the pictures online, I noticed Pinstri (Vin: WBSNB935X8CX10182) in person, let me begin with how the salesmen lied to me over the phone. Upon viewing the pictures online, I noticed Pinstripes along both sides of the car and horrible Flame Graphics next to the Fender Vents. Being I am over 1 hour away from the dealership, I called the dealership twice to emphasize the fact that I am only interested if the Pinstripes and Flames are easily removable stickers and not painted. Both times, I was told they are all only stickers and easily removable, not painted. My wife and I drove to the dealership on Saturday; 06/30/12 to see the car in person and make the purchase if everything was good and as described. First thing I saw was the Pinstripes and Flames were painted on which immediately irritated me. Then upon seeing the exterior and interior, we immediately saw so many issues and significant damages, we immediately knew the vehicle was no good. Just to name a few, the Front and Rear Bumpers are damaged, the Dash and Trim above the Headlight Controls are severely ripped and scratched, the Passenger Seat Knee Bolster is completely ripped and damaged, the Driver's Side Door Kick Plate is all kinds of damaged. There is seriously not enough space on here to list everything and all the issues we saw. At this point, I told the salesman, #1 I was lied to about the Pinstripes and Flames and would not have driven all that way if I knew they were painted. #2 There are so many issues and significant damages, we are disappointed and not interested at all. The salesman then had the nerve to say, "Come on Dude, it's a 2008, what do you expect?" After such an absurd comment, I emphasized that age has nothing to do with it because the M5 is only 4 years old and only has 21,000 miles. It truly all depends on how the car was maintained. I am a car guy and I am very meticulous and picky when it comes to cars. My wife and I currently have a daily driven 2009 BMW E92 335i, a daily driven 2006 BMW E60 550i, and a 2002 BMW E46 M3 Showcar, all of which seriously look brand new. So don't tell me the vehicle looks the way it does because it's a 2008. It is just absolutely sad that a $48,000 2008 BMW M5 with only 21,000 miles looked like that. I told the salesman I would pay $5,000 more than what they were asking just to know and have a vehicle that is in excellent condition and well maintained. With this in mind, this is exactly what we did and we just purchased a BMW M5 for a little over $52,000 which is also a 2008 with similar mileage but in excellent condition. If you do not care about the appearance or condition of a car, then by all means, go to Effect Auto; however, if you are like me and care about the appearance and condition of a car then please stay far away from Effect Auto. Not only did they lie to me and not only was the vehicle we were interested in absolutely horrible, we also noticed the condition of the vehicles in their lot were not exactly what we would call good. This dealership's name should seriously be changed to DEFECT AUTO SALES. More
I had the same problem as many of the reviewers..temp registration was about to expire and still no title in the mail. This took many, many phone calls and it was even sent out to a nonexistent address. registration was about to expire and still no title in the mail. This took many, many phone calls and it was even sent out to a nonexistent address. I finally received it after a ton of hassle. Getting a car's title to your buyer is a basic and simple requirement of a car dealership so I don't know why this place can't handle that. On top of this, I started to feel some vibration in the brakes after driving and getting a feel for the car and took it to my mechanic only to find one of the rotors was cracked...i mean CRACKED, like almost in two pieces...not hairline. Had to replace front rotors right away and there was no way I was getting this car anywhere near those people at the dealership so I just sucked up the cost. Not what you want when you just spent almost $30k on a practically new car. Aside from the obvious which is that I could've gotten killed in that thing. I have to say, since that was taken care of, I love this car :) But definitely bad dealership...wish I got a certified car. From reading other reviews, my feeling is that these people buy luxury brand cars that have too many issues to sell at the brand's dealer. More
We bought a used 2011 BMW 3 series from this dealership 2 months ago and have had nothing but problems since. We have been told numerous lies from the get-go and have had numerous problems with the car and months ago and have had nothing but problems since. We have been told numerous lies from the get-go and have had numerous problems with the car and issues with the dealership. When we have called to complain, they have told us "I'll look into it and call you back" but never called us back. This has happened at least a dozen times. When we took our car to BMW, we found out the car had no on-board computer system. this wasn't covered under the warranty since it wasn't defective it simply wasn't there and would cost us $1200 to replace. This was just the latest in a string of lies/problems we have experienced from them. We were told by the dealership that they nothing about the damage to the car from the accident listed on the car fax report, even though the old broken taillight was sitting in the trunk! We were told the reason there was no spare tire was that it had run-flat tires when this was not true, it didn't. We were told they would mail us the registration the following day, when they didn't I called and they said "I just personally put it in the mail". When it didn't arrive the next day, I called again, "sorry sir, I swear I just put it in the mail just now". Same thing the following day. They also told us the car had been inspected, it wasn't and it cost us a $100 ticket. They told us they would send us the user manual later and spare key as well, never happened. Called them several times about this, "it's in the mail sir", never came. I finally called the Better Business Bureau who told us they have had numerous complaints about this business and recommended we go straight to the State Division of Consumer Affairs, which we are now doing. This dealership needs to be CLOSED!!! More
Was told the title would come a dozen times - after making many phone calls chasing Igor - "tomorrow", "will call you right back", etc. Five weeks to get a title after paying for the car with certifie making many phone calls chasing Igor - "tomorrow", "will call you right back", etc. Five weeks to get a title after paying for the car with certified checks...and only after I got a state licensing rep involved. No second key as promised either. Original signed paperwork was done, then the next day when I picked up the car they quickly put papers in front of me to sign knowing I was in a hurry. One was the exact same paper as the signed one from the day before with "AS Is" hand-written away from the "AS Is" check-off boxes. Pretty slick - especially when the NEXT DAY the engine started a loud knock. The rod was shot; new engine was $6,000.00 and they refused to pay a dime because of the "As Is" note. Do NOT buy a car from these scam artists. More
Buyer beware. Weeks and weeks of phone calls to get the title....NO TITLE YET!! I did a wire transfer and had the car shipped. I just want to thank Effect Auto for being able to get me into my dream vehicle. They were able to treat me with respect and did not pressure me at all to make the sale. I visited nearby dealerships that sel into my dream vehicle. They were able to treat me with respect and did not pressure me at all to make the sale. I visited nearby dealerships that sell the same type of cars and was very dissappointed. Other places didn't even take care of there vehicles, even considering that they are highline cars and the customer service was very poor. To arrogant for my taste. At Effect Auto they were very humble from my sales rep. Nestor to the guy that detailed my car. More
