This is my fifth new vehicle purchase in the last 20 years; by far this was my best experience to date. There was no high pressure sales efforts to push a car purchase upon me. Charlie made the buying experience very enjoyable. His friendly and relaxed manner made him easy to talk with and ask questions. I originally contacted Josh Mitchell, the internet sales manager at Baxter. Josh was very friendly and courteous in answering my questions online. Later Josh contacted me by phone and we set up an appointme manager at Baxter. Josh was very friendly and courteous in answering my questions online. After taking a few test drives we got down to the purchase of our Town and Country Limited. Shawn stoppd by to see how things were going and we closed the deal . We were very satisfied with the money we got in trading in our older Town and Country. Everything was up front from the get go. Being from a smaller ,rural town in Southwestern Iowa I didn't really know what to excpect in arriving at big city dealership in West Omaha, but we were extremely satisfied. Scott Gubbels did an outstanding job with all of our finance paperwork. After signing our name to the dotted line, Josh once again went over everything with us in the operation of our vehicle. My husband and I actually traveled from Kansas City, MO to purchase a vehicle that we saw the previous weekend. We went back to the dealership with every intentions of purchasing that vehicle but was treat to purchase a vehicle that we saw the previous weekend. We went back to the dealership with every intentions of purchasing that vehicle but was treated so badly we chose to let that vehicle go and start looking again. The dealership we visited had no interest in selling or infact showing us the vehicle. We had to ask about a vehicle then ask again if we could test drive it. Upon returning we were told the price and that we should go get lunch and think about it. We did not go back! We drove down the road and started looking just to see if we could find another vehicle that had everything I wanted. I thought I had found it and was very upset that it did not work out. We pulled into Baxter Chevrolet to see what they had. We were greeted by a very friendly sales consultant named Charles Saxton. I really did not feel like having a saleman show me anything, I wanted to do it myself. Charles listened to what I was looking for and had a couple of vehicles to show me. I have to admit I was being very picky and could not find the right vehicle. Charles took us inside to consult with their other locations and actually left to bring another vehicle for me to see. While he was gone we walked the showroom floor. Charles returned with the vehicle and it didn't meet my liking. Charles then took us around the floor and we found a Silver, 2010 Dodge Town & Country Van. It was not the SUV I was looking for but it did have everything I was looking for. We were offered to take it off the floor and out for a long test drive. We fell in love with that van. Justin Walls, Manager was excellent in helping when we decided to go home with our new vehicle. He answered every question I could possibly come up with since I was going from an SUV to a Mini Van. Scott Gubbles, Finance Manager, knew we had been there for quite awhile and did everything he could do to make the purchase easy and fast. He was great!! No pressure sales!! I look forward to going back in a couple of years when my husband is planning on upgrading to a newer truck. Baxter - We will return. More
Be VERY careful at Baxter if you are buying a used vehicle. They are slimy and will try every trick in the book to get your money. Make sure you get the NADA and Kelly Blue Book values of the car yo vehicle. They are slimy and will try every trick in the book to get your money. Make sure you get the NADA and Kelly Blue Book values of the car you will be trading in, and the car you are looking to buy. They tried to tell me that the truck that Blue Booked for $14,000 was a great deal at the $15,000 price they had on the window because they had just marked it down from $18,000 (yeah right). Also, they tried to subtract more than $2,000 off my trade in for things I could fix for less than $200 as a full price paying consumer (and you know they could fix things cheaper). ***The finance guys will try to SCAM you!*** While financing my truck, they told me if I took the warranty, they could “buy down” my interest rate and only increase my payment $2 per month. I took it. Come to find out, they inflated the rate the bank would give me by 7% for the “initial” payment! Then when I accepted the warranty, they dropped the rate to the bank’s buy rate of 7% (so they doubled the rate initially). When I called them on it later, they told me that they have the right to increase the interest rate because it says so in the finance contract you sign. They don’t have to give you the best rate they can get. So, they increase it to whatever you will agree to and take a kick back from the bank. Make sure you have some pre-approvals from other banks before you go in. ASK what the terms are they are offering at each stage in the process. If you do not know what to expect, they WILL try to take advantage of you. BEWARE! These guys are the very essence of stereotypical used car dealers who will smile to your face and stab you in the back! More

Kirsten was friendly and courteous and discussed aftermarket sales items without the kind of pressure tactics that I've found at other dealerships. Scott handled the finance plan like a pro and discussed every payment plan option with me thoroughly. This was a completely satisfying experience. I've been taking my old '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee there since moving to Nebraska and have always experienced good timely service and advice. I look forward to taking my new Jeep back for its regular check ups to keep it running in peak condition for 20 years. The price to my mind is incredible. The Overland is a powerfully good product and after driving it a couple of days now, I know I've made the right choice. More
