Differentials needed service. (Front and Rear) I went here because my old Grand Cherokee needed to have both differential’s fluid changed. My GC’s limited slip differentials requires a special fric I went here because my old Grand Cherokee needed to have both differential’s fluid changed. My GC’s limited slip differentials requires a special friction modifier in both front and rear that is ONLY available through Mopar. I was being lazy and decided I didn’t feel like doing it myself (in the end, I wish I had!) Edwards charged an insane amount of money per differential, didn’t even do it properly by removing the covers, didn’t add the correct amount of friction modifier to the front (they added twice the amount recommended by Jeep to the front diff). Also, they didn’t even use Mopar brand 85/140 gear lube (some weird off market brand). Bottom line is, they charged a premium price for half assed work. In the end I wish I had just purchased the Mopar friction modifier only and done the differentials myself, or taken it to someone who would have done it for a fraction of the price with a better quality gear oil and also the correct way per the Jeep service manual! They hustled me and it’s my own xxxx fault!! More
