Requested appointment the night before and was able to be seen the next day. The service needed to be done fast enough for me to get to my job and I made it with time to spare. Our experience has been very satisfactory. Our Sentra was the first new car (sort of--I think it accumulated about 1000 miles as a loaner--that's how we got it.) The Sentra itself has been a great car with one exception--no one at EP Nissan seemed able to go through all the neat features. I'm still learning stuff. The rep who ws assigned to show us the ropes really didn't know all that much on the day we drove it off. I'm pretty good with such things, but I suspect I still don't know it all after two years. It was several months before I'd even mastered the iPhone/audio system connectivity. I found the on-line guide very tiresome--it think a couple of 1 hour sessions at the dealership for new owners would be really helpful, but to be fair it was sort of fun going through it myself. On the first raod trip I took after we'd had it a while gave me a start. ABOut 20 miles south of Hayward Wisconsin, a warning flashed up about tire maintenance. I was close to panic out there in the boonies but the tires appeared OK when I took a look so I proceeded. When I asked at a gas station in Cable about it, he told he that someone at EP Nissan had forgotten to reset the warning when the tires were rotated. Everything worked out fine, but it left me with the feeling that modern automobiles may be outstripping the ability of dealerships to maintain and communicate. I suspect a couple of 1 or 2 hour non-mandatory post sale tutorial sessions would be very helpful, especially for people who aren't as inquisitive as I am. ALso--a small thing--the high pressure flogging of after-market warranties is hugely annoying. Taking 'no' for an answer twice should be enough, but it wasn't. That time would have been far better spent with a tutorial on all the electronics. More
