I bought a 2021 Jeep Renegade this year. Had to search around because alot of lots didn't have any, including Tomko. I called 2 weeks ago to schedule my oil change and was told they were booked into December and were not taking any appointments, and to call back in 2 weeks and they would schedule me then. Fine, no problem. I call back in 2 weeks and was told that they are now booked through January and to again call back in 2 weeks. I said I've already done that and asked if I could please schedule for January before they got any further backed up. I was put on hold and then the service manager, I'm assuming, picked up and before I could say anything proceeded to bite my head off about how busy they are and that he's not taking responsibility scheduling out that far. I asked how I'm supposed t make an appointment then, which really set him off. I explained I was not trying to be difficult, just wanted to schedule. He then asked where I bought my car, I told him N .Olmsted. He questioned me why I would go there if they were down the street. I explained that they didn't have any Renegades and I had no choice. He stated he saves his slots for the people that spend their hard money at his lot an that maybe I should just go back to where I bought it from. Keep in mind he had no idea where I bought my car until just then. He said I was not happy because I wasn't getting my way. Again explained that all I want is to make a service appointment. He said "Have you ever heard of this?" I asked heard of what...and he hung up on me. I have never in my life been treated or talked to so rudely by any business, ever!!! It was very disappointing to me because I grew up in Avon Lake, they have been there all my life, my parents bought cars from them and I assumed they were a reputable company. Very sad that as a staple business in Avon Lake for that long that they treat people this way. I called back after that and left a voicemail for Paul Tomko but got no response. Shout out to N. Olmsted CJDR for scheduling me with in a week of me calling today...anybody need great friendly service I suggest you go to them and not Tomko!!! And to the gentleman in the service department...Karma will get ya sooner or later. I can see by the other reviews here I am not the 1st to be treated this way. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. More
I just googled Ed Tomko to write a review and can not believe that they only have a 3.9 rating. Of course I had to go through the one stars and am astonished. I myself live in walking distance to another Jeep Dodge dealership and drive a half an hour away to go to Ed Tomko when I am purchasing. In the past 4 years I have had 5 star treatment from every single sales, finance and owner I have come in contact with. Yesterday was beyond 5 star. Without going into too many details, we made an appointment for 430, we knew it would be quick and fast, which is was. We signed papers and were out the door by 545. 30 minutes later and 15 minutes after the dealership closed we encountered a problem. I emailed Ed Tomko with the thought that they would receive it when they opened at 830am today. These people emailed me back, then called me after all close to 8pm. They had a solution for my problem, asked me to come in at 845am so that they could get it taken care of for me. When we arrived they had everything ready for us and problem was solved. I am so appreciative of them going the extra mile after hours. In a world where most business' are closing early and short staffed, it is refreshing to know that Ed Tomko is still in the PEOPLE business! Family owned is the way to go Jerrol Walker you will forever have our word of mouth referrals! More

Although it is certainly not the deal RUN AWAY. I own 3 dodge vehicles. Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying my latest dodge from Ed Tomko. Although it is certainly not the dealerships fault I find myself still within the 3yr 36k and experiencing corrosion under the paint on the hood. I call the dealership and they ask me to bring it in to take photos and file a claim. I do this. They tell me they should have a response in a couple of days. If I don’t hear back by the following Wen. I should call. I do not, but give it a week and a half and call. I get voicemail. Leave a message. 3 days later I call again. Leave a voice mail. 2 days after this I call and get someone in service, they take my info and say the body shop will call be back. Again 3 more days and no call. So I drive in. You cannot get to the body shop and have to talk to service. I tell them what is going on and they tell me “body shop is busy, I will have them call you back”. I say I am not getting any return calls and ask “do you PROMISE I will get a call?” she says yes I promise you will get a call today. Once again I do not. I drive in AGAIN the next day, same person shrugs and say “I gave them the message”….disappears in the back for about 15min, then comes back out and tells me “Chrysler has not responded, the body shop will call you back”…I respond by saying I am in no hurry on the repair, but at this point I am not confident I will EVER get a call back and ask why I can’t talk to someone in the body shop. At this point, the body shop manager comes storming out, takes me outside and gets INCHES from my face. He tells me “I am backed up 8 months and you are not my priority” At this point I think he is going to attack me. So I say I think I had better leave. I go and talk to the manager Paul Tomko He says he will take care of this (and he has been calling me back every couple of days to say “still no word”, then suddenly he says "call dodge yourself" dodge says no claim was ever summited, now the "manager" is saying you'll need to go back and talk to the guy that tried to start a fist fight with me. More

Worst experience EVER!!!! I have never been treated like a piece of crap from any other dealer ship employee than MIKE ! Rude is all I can say.....We were told to leave and that's what we did. I literally just called into this store and asked specifically "who the General Manager is"? The response I was given was "may I ask what this is pertaining to"? When I said I was wanting to offer a product to the store she told me that "it is company policy that she not give that information out"! When I asked what her first name was, I was told "I am not comfortable giving that out to you because you are being aggressive towards me"! Folks! I can assure you I wasnt being aggressive. I was trying to sell a product. As I come to their review page I can see why theyre an average of 3.3. If I were Mr. Tomko, I would get a firm grip on what is actually going on here or just shut your doors. You arent far from it anyways. More
