I am 21 year old female and that already says it all. We young folks have the perception that nobody will take us seriously especially when venturing out and trying to buy a car on your own. It is a scary experience and this journey can get frustrating at times, but all that doesn’t have to happen. Because when buying your first car whether it be new or old shouldn’t cause you nothing but happiness. I’m writing this letter to the young people out there, the people who are in my shoes. Who want to be able to venture out on their own and be able to buy a car on their own it is possible and people will take you seriously believe me. In September of 2014 is when I ventured out and in search for a car for myself. My first intention was to get a used car, mainly due to the fact that my mother kept pressuring me to get a used car because she was concerned that that was all I was able to afford. But I love my mother dearly and respect her opinion and in this case she was wrong. I knew what was best for me especially in the long run. I was serious about my future and I knew that a brand new car would get me through the long run better than a used car. But I did as my mother told me to do in the beginning I went to a lot of car dealerships and saw a lot of potential cars but none of them felt right. I wasn’t going to settle just for any car, there were times I wanted to just give in and get a car already because I was in desperate need of a car to get me to school and work and after weeks of going looking around searching around for cars and just hitting a bunch of dead ends due to my financial situation. For a brief second I led myself to believe that I would probably have to settle for car even though I didn’t want to. My young friends used car dealerships might seem cheaper overall for the cars but it’s not just about the car it’s about the whole experience in buying it that will make your car even that much sweeter. When you walk into a dealership you want to feel like you’re at home you don’t want to feel pressured into getting a car that you don’t want. You want sales people to take you seriously no matter your race or gender. Everybody should be given the same joyful experience. I’m glad I hadn’t lost hope back in December and hadn’t just settled for any car. It was like an ordinary day but this day changed it all. I had drove pass a Honda dealership with my sister, when she asks me have I tried there. And I immediately chuckled; I told her I couldn’t get a car there even if I wanted too. She told me it doesn’t hurt to try and those my friends are some words to take into consideration because it’s true. I walked into that dealership expecting the same thing but I was taken aback. The atmosphere and the people there make you feel like you are part of their family and part of their community. I had the pleasure of having met Samuel Day my sales dealership person. That guy, believe me works miracles like no other. When I had thought I had lost all hope he had placed me in a car that not only did I love but felt secure and safe. And I knew that this car was meant for me. I grew up having Honda cars in my family and being able to own one of my own was the best feeling ever. Samuel day had renewed my hope in the car buying experience not only did he go out of his way to accommodate my needs but also did it the most heartwarming way as possible. I was joyful to leave the lot with a brand new Honda accord 2014. But my story doesn’t end there… In February of this year I had a horrific experience with my car. Ending up getting into a very bad car accident, my car insurance company deemed my car a total loss. After two long devastating months waiting around with no car and own my car insurance dragging xxx to determine what they are going to do. It was two long months of running around terrified and complete devastated because I had lost my car for good and I thought this was the end and I would be left with no car. But I was not alone in this my sales person Samuel day who I’m proud to call my friend had helped me throughout this entire experience especially in dealing with my insurance company. He again had proven to me that miracles do actually exist because when I had lost hope he had renewed it again. He helped me get into a replacement car the same day my insurance company deemed my old car a total loss. Imagine all the things running through my mind at that time. I was worried beyond measure because I couldn’t afford another car. But Samuel day and the whole team at Ed Napleton Honda made it possible yet again for me to walk out in a car happily and proud to say its mines. Ed Napleton Honda in Oak Lawn gave me the best car buying experience and the most heartfelt one too. They not only placed me in a car of my dreams but also reassured me that whatever problems I run into with my car they will be there to help and assist me 100%. And that’s what we young people look for in car buying experiences to feel like you’re part of their community and family. I was truly blessed when I took that chance and entered the Honda dealership parking lot. I also had the greatest fortune of working with Samuel Day he is the most sincere and kindest sales person you’ll ever meet. And he’ll go out of his way to make it possible for you to leave with a car that you’ll truly be 100% satisfied. After all I been through these past months since September of last year the only place I would recommend buying a car is at Ed Napleton Honda because I want people to have the feeling and reassurance that they are only getting the best like I did. More

You are too old to own a Honda "You are too old to own a Honda" if you are over 50. According to the service department at Ed Napleton Honda. Took my new $40k Honda Odyssey in for "You are too old to own a Honda" if you are over 50. According to the service department at Ed Napleton Honda. Took my new $40k Honda Odyssey in for two issues. They repaired neither and stated that because the issues don't appear for them, Honda will not recognize nor pay for them. So for the rest of my ownership of this vehicle I have to listen to the front crash detection alarm falsely alert me when there's not another vehicle in site AND not use the cruise control because it turns itself off intermittently. Nice of the service rep to compare me to his grandfather that accidently turns it off manually. Sure. Over and over again when I'm barely even touching the steering wheel. Ed Napleton service department is a sad sack of crap. And Honda? This is my third and last one. if you cannot stand behind your products and make false statements of warranty, I'm done! -- Dan More
