SERVICE DEPARTMENT I have written several reviews complimenting various employees of Economy Honda. As I have stated in previous reviews, the reason my family continue t I have written several reviews complimenting various employees of Economy Honda. As I have stated in previous reviews, the reason my family continue to purchase vehicles from Economy Honda is mainly due to Service Department. Every Service Tech that I have ever dealt with has been great. They tell you what type of service you may need and don't try to sell you something you don't need. If you request an oil change only, that's what you get. My service tech was Steve Howard. He was very helpful and competent. I would not hesitate to send any family member to him for vehicle service. Thank you Steve. More
Go somewhere else for skilled Pilot technicians! Had our 2016 Pilot EX in for 3 attempts to repair. Engine had died 2 times while in gear, in traffic, and failed to start on 4 occasions over a 2-mont Had our 2016 Pilot EX in for 3 attempts to repair. Engine had died 2 times while in gear, in traffic, and failed to start on 4 occasions over a 2-month period (starter would engage, but engine wouldn't fire). Also went into "limp mode" at one point when my wife was driving it near Economy (that's how we got involved with them even though the car was purchased at Honda of Cleveland). Retchie Lopez and Chris Holley were our contacts during these unsuccessful attempts to make our Pilot run reliably. Chris told us "Honda was not giving them much help". Finally, after 3 trips to Economy, with them telling us "it's fixed" each time, the car wouldn't start AGAIN! At that point, we had it towed to Honda of Cleveland where their tech removed the engine cover and found that the fuel injection harness was loosely connected, and that it could be easily knocked loose whenever the engine cover was put back in place! More

My brother had it towed to the nearest car repair shop (not Honda). They were closing but would look at it further on Monday, he thought the computer needed replaced. My brother had to return to St Louis for a work commitment so could not stay and oversee the fix. I called numerous Honda centers, including Economy Honda of Chattanooga, the technicians indicated a bad computer was a rare occurrence for a Civic. I decided to have it towed from the car repair shop to Economy Honda. Economy Honda helped me get it towed from one repair shop to another. (The other repair shop wouldn't release the car without payment and they wouldn't take a credit card over the phone....a trying time!) At Economy Honda the techs found a bolt holding down the main ground wire (sparking the engine) was loose. So it was a diagnostic charge and a $3 bolt tightening NOT a new computer. When my brother flew in from St Louis the Economy Honda shuttle person picked him up at the airport. I was extremely relieved - and very, very grateful for the help that all the Economy Honda employees gave to me and my brother during this tough time. Thank you Thank you!! More
Helped my daughter when she was a long way from home My college aged daughter was visiting Chattanooga and had a problem with her Honda Fit. The person who had done the oil change before she left on the trip had not secured the oil cap and oil spilled out of the engine. I do not know the name of the tech that helped her but they filled the car with oil replaced the cap and charged her nothing. If I lived any where near Chattanooga, I would buy my next Honda at this dealership. My hope is that because of this review that someone would give this dealership some business for me. I hear too many stories of dealerships taking advantage of people and it is so nice to see the opposite happen. More

I was traveling from Cincinnati to Florida with two cats in a car that was over 90 degrees. I pulled in to the service bay, explained my situation, and within minutes had my two cats in the cool waiting area, while they diagnosed the problem. Toney Williams found that the compressor relay valve was sticking so replaced it and I was on my way. The level of professionalism and kindness that was shown to me that day by Retchie and the service department is one I will never forget. Kudos to Economy Honda in Chattanooga! More
Done with Honda I honestly don't know if this falls under sales or service. All in all, I'm done with Economy Honda and done with Honda period. I purchased a certified used 2011 Honda Pilot in November 2014. My wife and I loved the until this month (May 2014). We took the vehicle in for service and 2 hours later we had to take it back because the alternator went out. We were frustrated, but didn't dwell on it because the car was still under warranty. However, we didn't understand how Economy Honda claims to do a 39 point inspection and yet they missed the alternator. We were told that the vehicle was good to go and shouldn't have any more issues. That didn't last two weeks. My wife drove the Pilot to Florida with my mother and two friends. Their vacation came to an end when the Pilot's engine light came on along with the VSA light. They immediately drove to the nearest Honda dealership only to find out that the vehicle needs new pistons. Again, how did Economy miss this since they claimed to do a 39 point inspection. Imagine my frustration (to put it nicely) to know that my wife and mother are 9 hours away and stuck in their hotel because the vehicle we purchased 6 months is in the shop after we just paid $245 for service. Depending on how bad the damage is, they might have to pay for another night in their hotel and their vacation has been cut short because they no longer have transportation to get anywhere unless they pay for cab. The worse part of all is this is the second time we've had issues with a Honda. We purchased a Honda CRV and had to change rotors, brakes, windshield wipers, battery, and AC - which failed 5,000 miles after the warranty ended all within the first 3 years of ownership and we NEVER missed a scheduled service. We WERE loving the Pilot so much that I had already given the sales guy my information because we were going to trade my car in to get the 2016 Honda Pilot. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a third time and I must be the fool. I will be taking my business else where...after the warranty ends of course. More
Above and Beyond Our family was visiting from out of town for a funeral and while we were staying in a hotel, our Accord's driver window was broken out. As this happened on a Saturday night, I was panicked to get this repaired on Monday morning as we had a funeral at 1pm and a 3.5 hour drive home. On Monday morning, Denny took control and even though the parts department did not have the glass in stock, Denny had one delivered and we were back on the road by noon!!! Thank you Denny for going the extra mile!! More

Eddie has even helped us when there are discounts available for a service I did not know about. His respect and quality of customer service is a big part of why I only get serviced at economy Honda. SALESMAN, Harold Blackstock, Finance, Steve Hadden & Chris were all in Went for SERVICE and purchased 2014 CRV from Economy Honda, replacing 2012 CRV. SALESMAN, Harold Blackstock, Finance, Steve Hadden & Chris were all informative, knowledgible, curteous and patient. Plus snacks! :-) GREAT DEAL! Harold makes you feel at ease and answers any questions so patiently and stays with you throughout the deal. Have never had a better buying experience! Would definitely recommend Economy and Harold for new or used. More
