I was not playing a negotiating game - I was telling him exactly where he needed to be, as I had the outlines of an acceptable deal on comparable vehicle at a competitor. He didn't even attempt to discuss numbers, other than the initial sticker price, and the usual car sales runaround games. Perhaps he thought I was bluffing. I wasn't. This is the second time I have dealt with Eckert Hyundai to buy a car, which wasn't a great experience the first time when I was misled on the financing, and it will be the last. More

Buying a new Genesis was really easy and fast. No lengthy negotiations or hours of paperwork. Tommy was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very relaxed during our experience. I bought my first Hyundai from Stan Becker six years ago. A friend of mine owned a Hyundai Sante Fe and I loved riding in it. I had a Honda Accord at the time but wanted a change. My friend introduced me to Stan Becker and he then introduced me to the Service Manager Leonard. I test drove the Hyundai Sante Fe and bought it that afternoon. I purchased my fourth Hyundai Sante Fe yesterday on 12-4-12 and I love it!!! I have also referred many friends to Stan Becker because he takes care of his customers and he is not just looking to make a "sale"! He truly cares for the customer and goes out of his way to please and actually becomes a friend to his customers. While I was waiting to get my car processed two previous customers came in and we shared stories of how great Stan and all employees at Eckert Hyundai treat people and we all are repeat customers. In addition to being exceptionally friendly the thing I most appreciated was their approach. It is intimidating enough making a large purchase then to have the added pressure to buy when you aren't even sure what you want makes it a difficult experience. I was comfortable once I got there and Nick patiently took time to answer all my questions, etc. ultimately I bought the car I wanted and James worked laboriously to get the payment I could afford. Nick is a new hire there and I believe a true asset to the company. I am truly hoping for good things for him there. More

The same afternoon I went to another dealership and got $1000 more in discount on MSRP and $2500 more on my trade-in and made the purchase. Beware of this dealership! More
Worked to purchase a new Accent from this dealership. We test drove the car ran our credit. This was later in the evening, so I chose to wait at home while the financing was secured and asked them to call test drove the car ran our credit. I would be back the next day to finish the deal and sign papers. I went home and waited. My purchase inquiries were left unanswered and they did not work on financing for 4 days. My salesperson, Stan, decided I wasn't in a hurry and did nothing. After a number of calls and messages I finally spoke to Mike. He said he would work on it and get back to me that evening, nothing. On Monday morning I called again and spoke to Mike. He told me he would speak to finance and call me back quickly. It took another 4 hours to get back to me on the financing. In the mean time I shopped around and found a lower price in Dallas. Arlington matched the Dallas price. When I mentioned it to Mike, he actually told me if I could get a better deal at South Dallas Hyundai I should go there. I did. South Dallas Hyundai was fabulous. They were forthright with their pricing and did not push me into features, price increases I didn't want. The sales staff was friendly and prompt. It was a painless process. I paid below sticker for the car. In the aftermath I let the owner, Mark, know about the experience I had with his sales staff at Eckert Hyundai. He was confrontational and condescending. He is certain his dealership has the best prices and best customer service around. I beg to differ. In my opinion customer service and honesty are what it takes to keep a customer at a dealership. There are so many Hyundai dealerships in the metroplex. All of them have the same basic deals on cars. Go to the dealership that makes you feel valued as a customer. More
