I haven’t de posted 4 days ago— Echo Park Nashville is your classic BAIT & SWITCH. However, I experienced their shoddy service on the selling side. I haven’t dealt with dealers just buying cars straight out so called the number first, was told to drop by but I could make an appointment if I wanted to; I did. But, when I arrived (8/30), the woman rep told me they won’t look at the car (rudely BTW); that I should go back home and do it all online, because “I could possibly get more for it.” HUH? Obviously, just an angle to get web traffic. I pushed her that I’m here now, was told I can come today, had appointment— and she said “Oh, corporate says different things and should have told you…” blahblah. Oh, OK, so much for customer service. So there’s an hour+ I’ll never get back. I go home, plugged in all the #’s and go my quote for $6,962. Not great, but it’s an extra car sitting around so willing to move forward. Even though they can pull everything with VIN #’s, I called back into corporate (before taking car back for the sell) just to make sure they can see an accident report from 10+ years ago (not salvaged or rebuilt title); they said, yes, not a problem. OK then. I wanted this clear before I came back in for the actual sell/deal. I take the car back within the allotted mileage and 2-week period— said as long as everything runs the way it’s supposed to and no major damage, deal will be made; sit in lobby about 40 minutes then we’ll wrap up; ok great. After they take their sweet time, low and behold… the rep comes back all smiles: "I’m sorry, but as you know, your car was in an accident long ago and we have determined there’s structural damage” um… WUT. So they cut their *OFFER MORE THAN HALF* to an even $3,000 (I know, nice round number, like they were even too lazy to come up with something that sounded more reasonable). It’s almost comical if it wasn’t borderline criminal. The best part?… she walks me outside, lifts the hood, and says… this strip of metal here wasn’t welded correctly. ummm what?… this is a thin piece that sits on top of the main frame and the hood is 100% flush and closes correctly… wow. What they didn’t know is that this car recently had the hood latch/lock and hood shocks replaced *by a certified BMW mechanic in Nashville* not even a month ago. If you think anything was structurally wrong with the hood/door area, BMW would have let it out of the door?? Amazing. But beyond that, it was clearly obvious they were searching for some bogus “structural damage” to butcher my offer b/c they thought I was desperate. Looking at the car and what she was pointing at (mind you, she was no body shop pro) I literally could not see *anything* bent, dented or whatever. I halfway thought she was joking but thinking she was a newer staff member who hasn’t brushed up on her screwing-people-over skills. She has potential. The best part?… I also took the car to both CarVana and CarMax— both here in Nashville and both offered me deals back to $6,000. Just got back from CarMax today and they offered me $6,000 *to the penny* as-is, same car, same carfax report, looked it over entirely. I even pointed out the “poorly welded metal” area under the hood and asked if that was a problem. He said not sure what you’re looking at. Exactly. Their offer of $6,000 is attached, B/C we all know “management” at Echo Park will reply to this review with their typical canned “customer service” reply. "OMG, we strive to make sure all of our customers are satisfied, omg please call us." Amateurs. Think about that: Echo Park literally cut my offer *more than half* citing some kinda bogus crappy welded piece of thin metal that two other shops absolutely said was not a problem-- and got the *full $6,000* from CarMax appraisal. *Within TWO DAYS of each other.* Seems like most of their recent tactics harbor back to the good old days in car sales of putting the screws to customers any way they can. Sad, but you have plenty of options these days to avoid them at all costs. More
I am disappointed to say the least and I hope that others in Nashville aren't being scammed like our family was. Our first purchase of a luxury vehicle was met with nothing but deception from the beginnin in Nashville aren't being scammed like our family was. Our first purchase of a luxury vehicle was met with nothing but deception from the beginning to the end of the 5-hour process. 1. They promised a higher trade in for the car than the purchase price since they claimed the car was discounted below "book" value. That ISN'T possible. 2. They said that the VIN was 1 number off from the car that was used for the test drive. It ISN'T. It wasn't until 4 hours in that we were told that the car we were purchasing WASN'T the car they gave for the test drive. 3. They sold the car for $2K higher than their website price. 4. They never gave the base price of the car when asked. Every figure included something extra. That's on top of the fact that they NEVER told the credit scores used until the end (2-3 hours later) after I had asked multiple times. We found the real car price ($2K below what they sold it to us for), the VIN numbers for both cars (an 8-digit difference), the interest rate ranges (none were close to what we were quoted), and a glimpse of the credit tiers later that same night and the next morning on the EchoPark website. We returned everything the next morning. I can only imagine what is being done to others in Nashville. More
Maartin Perez did an excellent job. Very low key manner. No high pressure sales tactics at all. He listened well and showed us cars that we were interested in. We'll have some customizations to do to get her back to what I "had", but we're off to a great start. Tony and the fellas let me cry and work through such an emotional experience without judgment. Brandi did an amazing job of getting me an even lower rate than we originally thought. This is our third vehicle from here and 4th in the family. I'm so blessed to have an amazing crew to work with! On February 19th, the date I originally got my car, I had to bring it back due to it being FILTHY inside, even found a roach, roach eggs, and a roach legs in different parts of the interior. In addition to t to bring it back due to it being FILTHY inside, even found a roach, roach eggs, and a roach legs in different parts of the interior. In addition to this I found dirt stains, cobwebs, etc. So I took it back on the 19th, was told by Marshal they’d clean it out. Got my car back within an hour, still dirty. Came back the following week, they’re closed on Sunday, hoping they’d make it right. Sat for about an hour, was told to bring it back. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping they’d get my car cleaned, after my 5th time bringing it to them and finding a large light blue pill under the seat they still have not properly cleaned my car. I called Saturday (spoke to a “Sue”) and was told I would be contacted by Eric, who told me on 3/26 they were paying for professional detailing, GUARANTEED me it would be cleaned by a professional and signed his name to it. I never got a call. They had my car for 5 days and it’s STILL dirty and I now have scratches on the door from them removing the seat, scuff marks that weren’t there before, and yes the bug is STILL in my dash. To remove the roach I was told they MIGHT be able to reimburse me if I go to a Ford dealership. All they kept saying is, “it’s a used car” as an excuse for it being disgusting. I’ve gone to Tote the Note lots before this that had cleaner AND older cars, Carmax, etc has clean USED cars. After 5 tries and 5 days, claiming they’d get a professional to detail it, I shouldn’t still be looking at dirt, streaks on my windows from what looks like an unclean rag being used, a roach, dirty seats, cobwebs, etc. Update 3/6/2022: Less than an hour after posting this, as I put my daughter in her seat on the PASSENGER side, I look over and see a dead ROACH on the floor behind the DRIVER seat on the floor. I rarely live with regrets but this has been one for me. Update 3/7/2022: Still haven’t heard from Eric, seen more dead roaches. Same side the pill fell from Update 3/10/2022: Not heard from them but they continue to run my credit without my permission, received emails from Experian, Credit Karma, and Capital One and a call from the lender, Exeter finance.
