I had purchased a vehicle from Eastern Shore in 2011, it was rear ended Oct this year, they insurance found prior damage that would have been there when we bought the car. We went to the dealership to see how they would handle it and were pleasantly surprised when they took full responsibility for the prior damage offered to fix the car like new or to take the car back and put us in a new one. We chose the new option, Eastern Shore took the damaged car back and we drove away in a new car. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy. I cannot say enough about how they handled this situation and us. They will be our dealership going forward. More
Twice I have had ES Toyota diagnose problems I had with a Camry purchased from them. On one occasion I was told I needed a throttle body for $1400. I elected to get the problem addressed elsewhere and foun Camry purchased from them. On one occasion I was told I needed a throttle body for $1400. I elected to get the problem addressed elsewhere and found that it did not need a throttle body. On the second occasion I was told I needed a rebuilt transmission for $4400. I elected to get the problem addressed elsewhere and found that it did not need a transmission and the problem was corrected for $1400. I wrote a letter to Mr. Esfahani (see below) on 9/12/12 and as of 10/21 have not had the courtesy of a reply. I would not do business with these folks again. 9/12/12 Mr. Shawn Esfahani Eastern Shore Toyota 29732 Frederick Blvd Daphne, Al 36526 Dear Mr. Esfahani, Recently I took my daughter’s 2002 Toyota Camry (a car I had purchased from you) to Eastern Shore Toyota to have a problem diagnosed. I was told that the car would need a rebuilt transmission and a couple of unrelated parts for a total of $4400.00. (See attached.) I was skeptical and a couple of days later took the car to Advanced Transmission in Spanish Fort. Within 10 minutes they found that the timing belt was out of time, the bank 2cam gear was cracked, and the wrong spark plugs were installed. They addressed these issues and the car now runs fine. (See attached.) After the problem was successfully corrected I returned to Eastern Shore Toyota for an explanation. An excellent mechanic tested the car thoroughly and determined that there was not a problem with the transmission. Mr. McCombs apologized and refunded the diagnostic charge. In July of last year I took the same car to Eastern Shore Toyota to have a problem diagnosed and was told it needed a throttle body for a cost of $1400.00. Following that diagnosis I purchased a throttle body separately and had a mechanic install it for me. It did not fix the problem. The problem was fixed but it was unrelated to the throttle body. Mr. McCombs dismissed this issue because it was some time back and had nothing to do with present problem. Twice I have taken my car to Eastern Shore Toyota and twice I have had it misdiagnosed. That is quite a coincidence. Had I followed your recommendations I would have spent a considerable amount of money and still have had the problems. This experience has caused me to question the honesty and/or competence of your operation. However, before I reach any conclusions I would like to hear from you personally. The customer service was awful. The salesmen insulted me for what he offered on my trade-in. When I asked for my keys they would not return them, I had to ask 6 times and be ugly for them to give my keys ba for what he offered on my trade-in. The dealership makes you feel like you are trapped into buying a car because they would not let me look around the lot before having to speak with someone. I recently bought a 2012 Camry Hybrid from Stacey Conley at Eastern Shore Toyota. It was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had. I was looking for a new (atleast new to me) car, that was more dependable and better on gas than my Jeep. I searched all around Pensacola, where I live and found nothing I liked. I looked online and found the car I have wanted for years! a 2004 Scion xB! I was very excited until I saw it was over an hour drive from my house.. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to call about it. I was dicrected to Stacey Conley who was very friendly and answered all my questions. I decided to make the drive with my boyfriend out there to see the car. Stacey worked with me about what time I was able to come. the sales department is open a lot later than I expected which helped a lot! When we got there he was very nice and introduced us to Kubi, the man that actually showed us the car. the car was like new inside and out. When we went inside to talk number, I don't feel like they were trying to pressure me into buying it just so they could make a sale. They worked with me, and my bank, and insurance company A LOT! I couldn't take it home that night, but they held on to the car for me and after I made MANY phone calls, to the bank.. eastern shore.. my insurance company..and my father, who was going to be on the title as well.. they offered to drive the car to my house in Pensacola at 930 at night!! I was completely blown away by the offer, my schedual was so busy it would have been days before both me and my dad could have made it out there. they even dealtailed it and filled it up with gas before the delivered it! I feel like they did EVERYTHING they could to give me this great car, at a great deal, witht he best coustmer service ever! I called Wednesday morning, and had the car by Thursday night. Its been almost two months and my car is still perfect! Stacey and Kubi are the best, I have the care I have wanted for the past 6 years, and its all thanks to them! More
