Got to Eastern Shore Toyota in Daphne, AL at about 9:00 am. I live an hour away. Got there and met with Ed Reese. Nice guy only problem I had with him was after test driving the vehicle I pointed out how i am. I live an hour away. Got there and met with Ed Reese. Nice guy only problem I had with him was after test driving the vehicle I pointed out how it is saying it needs an oil change. He told me oh I am sure they did it they just didn’t reset it. Well after we agreed on a price he took it back to get it cleaned up and the oil light was still on. I went to go talk to the finance guy for a couple hours then I had to wait few more hours due to me having to call places. After the sale was done and ready to drive home my oil change light was still on. I was so tired and it was already 5:30 at night I just left but I shouldn’t have left and made them correct it. Well driving home on the highway my car alerts me my tires are at only 24-27. So now I’m really thinking they never did do the oil change. I had to pull over head to a gas station fill up my tires and check the oil. Oil looked clean. That tells me they don’t check the vehicle at all before they bring it out to you to take home. That is poor customer service. They just don’t care at all. Now the second part of my bad experience with Eastern Shore Toyota in Daphne, AL is when I walked into the Finance guys office I told him I already have a rate but if you can find me a better one I’ll go with you. He said okay. Looks it up and says well I couldn’t get you a lower rate but I did get close to it. And just for a few more dollars if you use Capital One I get $400. I looked at him like what?! I couldn’t believe he told me that. You want me to pay a few more dollars with a higher rate so you can get $400? I was shocked a employee is actually telling there customer this! I informed someone who is a manager at another dealership about my experience and he told me that is so unprofessional and he would never be working for me. After I informed him no why would I do that he got bent out of shape and kept begging me to do it. I’m like no why would I pay more to get you $400!? I was so shocked at this I even recorded our conversation asking him why is he acting so bent out of shape because I don’t want to spend a few more dollars so you can get $400. And is this something you tell your customers. And you just hear him giggling. The next day the manager calls my husband to ask how our experience was well my husband lets him know everything that went down also told him we have the conversation recorded and the manager said I will have to call you back. Well he never did! This place just does not care at all as long as they continue to bring in money. It all starts with leadership and if leadership don’t hold there employees accountable or at least try to make the customer happy after a horrible experience and horrible customer service. Then that shows the type of company this is. They won’t hold them accountable and we won’t receive a call back. That finance guy will continue to be that type of employee and Ed will not make sure his customers car they just purchased is good to go before they leave the lot. That says a lot. So since Eastern Shore Toyota won’t call us back, us as customers can only do one thing. And that’s to leave a comment on every social media, dealerrater.com and more. And verbally tell everyone our experience and continue to spread the word. Maybe this will get there attention but I highly doubt it. They will just probably leave a reply to this comment saying we apologize for your experience and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please call me at ####. But as we already experienced we won’t get a call back. And nothing will truly be investigated and taken care of. On to the next social media site to leave the same comment. Unless we get a call back. More
