Terrible dishonest experience East Hills Subaru agreed to match the lease price of another dealership. After placing a "fully refundable" deposit and being told to fill out a credit application they called me and said they couldn't match the price and tried to get me to agree to a higher price. After I said no, they said they would reimburse the deposit. After two weeks and multiple phone calls, they still have not refunded my deposit. More
Great Sales & Service My wife and I purchased 3 Subarus from a dealer that we dealt with for many years that recently closed. We were happy to see a new dealer, East Hills My wife and I purchased 3 Subarus from a dealer that we dealt with for many years that recently closed. We were happy to see a new dealer, East Hills Subaru, open nearby and that they had hired some of the same service personnel from the previous dealer. These were people that we knew and trusted: Shaun Bucknor, parts manager and Joe, parts sales; in service, mechanic George and other support people. The new service people we met were also very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly: Mike Puccio, Service manager; Leon Shvarts, Service advisor, mechanics Donald and Eddie; front desk, Stephanie. Because of our experience with service we decided to buy our fourth Subaru from East Hills. We were happy to meet our salesman, Mike Polans. He was friendly and easy to get along with. He knew the car and answered all our questions. The price negotiations were painless and we agreed on a fair price. Later Arnie Price called us about an extended warranty. We would have skipped this because mechanically Subarus have not been a problem but with the high level of electronics on our Outback we decided to get it. Arnie explained our options and was also friendly and easy to get along with. When our car came in Mike Polans made sure it was prepped properly and that it had everything we ordered. He then explained all the basics and the many complicated systems we ordered. His follow up call to make sure everything was all right was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend them to our friends. More

Happy we found Subaru East Hills Let me begin by saying that I had originally planned to visit Subaru East Hills for the first time just to test drive a Subaru Outback. In fact, East Let me begin by saying that I had originally planned to visit Subaru East Hills for the first time just to test drive a Subaru Outback. In fact, East Hills was my second option and arrived there after having a terrible experience at Star Subaru in Bayside (where I was taken out to test drive a Forrester and then "handed over" to a very pushy sales guy who expected us to a buy our Outback on the spot and seemed extremely exasperated from question one. Ridiculous.) My experience at East Hills was completely different. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted by a person at the front desk who immediately introduced us to Michael Polans. Mike was friendly and patient from the first moment. He provided answers to all of our questions at his desk. Once we felt sufficiently informed (my wife and a couple of friends were there as well) he proceded to show us several Outback models -2014, 2015- and all trims. At this point, we were able to point the one we would like to drive and took it out for a spin. Mike found us a nice long uphill stretch where we could test the engine power and feel the CVT transmission in action. The car felt great! So, to shorten my story a bit, my wife and I decided to place an order that same day. We had done plenty of research ahead of this visit and while we originally had thought of doing only a test drive, Mike Polans was so helpful that we didn't see the need to wait any longer. The purchasing process was also made simple by Mike and his colleagues (sorry, I don't remember everybody's name) and, about 7 weeks later, we drove our 2015 Subaru Outback Limited home. If you are planning to buy a Subaru, I strongly recommend to visit East Hills even if you don't live in Long Island. More

I always feel like I'm immediately on the defense when I'm car shopping, but East Hills made me feel like I could ACTUALLY trust the people selling a car to me. An Amazing Repeat Experience! Once Again! 5 months ago I purchased a Forester for my daughter! The entire sales process was seamless and flawless and the Forester is a great vehicle with a saf 5 months ago I purchased a Forester for my daughter! The entire sales process was seamless and flawless and the Forester is a great vehicle with a safety rating that let's me breath easy as she travels back and forth to Boston! Well my mother in law decided she wanted to buy a Forester and a call to the Sales Manager once again put the wheels in motion! Four weeks ago my family converged on Richard who is the Sales Manager and with his level of charm introduced himself asked the entire group just what they were looking for and then asked his sales consultant to come over and take them for a test drive. Norris was the salesman very nice as my mother in law and brother in law attested and set up a vehicle to drive. As my mother in law states we liked the car and ordered a vehicle with the options she wanted, color etc and Norris then went to Richard for the price! Now my mother in law has the first dollar she ever made and at 81 she still has it! She negotiated the deal with Richard for an hour of haggling, that frankly from my family members wished they could have melted away from embarrassment. Well 5 weeks passed the car arrived on a Thursday and Saturday was delivery day. With 5 in two they once again all arrived the car was beautiful and three dealer options would be installed at a later date due to non availability! Well in true fashion my mother in law was annoyed got Richard and and gave him a piece of my mind! It's like buying half a dress she said. Richard just smiles at her and said " Hilda I understand how you feel and in 3 days the parts will be here, so this is what we can do. You come here at noon, I will take you to lunch and in one hour everything will be done! Enough said! And in three days that's what happened, she came in on Wednesday he took her to lunch and the car was ready in one hour! What can I say, she loves the car everyone is thrilled and she still talks about her lunch date! Thank you, Richard and Norris for going beyond way beyond what customer service is all about!
