Terrible Unprofessional- Never again! Ken Schuster(GM) = Arrogant/ Phony/ Liar/ Spineless. I leased a black 2017 Chevy Tahoe LT from the Paul Conte Chevrolet dealership at the end of the February 2017. I was instructed to pick up the vehicle on 2/21/2017 during the latter part of the day. Big mistake! When I returned home I noticed there was a deep surface scratch on the driver’s side back bumper. I immediately called my salesman Kevin Pratt who suggested that I bring in my vehicle so he and team could assess next steps. As instructed I went back to the dealership on 2/23/2017. Once Kevin came out to view the scratch, he immediately told me the scratch would require a visit to the body shop and that he wanted his GM Ken Schuster to have a look at it before deciding next steps. Ken arrogant as can be, refused to come take a look , couldn't be bothered but rather assured me his “guy” Miguel could certainly fix this the following day if I brought my vehicle back. Who is this guy Miguel? He is certainly not an employee of Chevy and I doubt he is a licensed body shop employee. I asked several times what time I could bring the vehicle in. Ken mentioned to me that Miguel would be at his dealership ALL day and to bring the vehicle in whenever I was ready. As instructed I brought my vehicle back to the Freeport dealership and guess what? Miguel was not there. After waiting several hours at the dealership, Miguel finally arrived. After another hour or two after Miguel attempting to fix scratch in the back of the dealership working out of the trunk of his car, turns out the scratch was too deep and that my car would need an apt at the body shop and this guy Miguel is not even a licensed auto body guy. He just does work on the side!. So at this point what did we achieve? My car still needed to be sent to the body shop causing me yet another inconvenience. The salesman then directs me to the loaner dept. in which they have the audacity to offer me a Chevy CRUZE! Hello I just leased a $60K truck. I have 3 little children, 3 car seats do you think a Cruze will be sufficient??? I refused to take that loaner car and we left off that we would schedule an appointment later that week and that the salesman was going to contact me. I stressed to the salesman and Ken that I needed an SUV to accommodate my family needs. Long story short salesman never contacted me and I had to contact the dealership. We scheduled an appointment for Wednesday March 1st. All parties knew that I needed an SUV to ensure I can fit my children’s 3 car seats. Sure enough my wife with kids go drop off the vehicle and they give my wife a Chevy Impala! Do you think a Chevy Impala is practical or safe for 3 car seats? Definitely not! (I have the pics to show as well). My wife while at the loaner/service dept. asks why there wasn’t a SUV set aside for her knowing that there was ample enough time to reserve one. The response she received was that they did not know. My wife then notices two Traverse vehicles and inquiries. The representative at the loaner dept. tells my wife that one is being serviced and the other is on reserve... Really!!!! And why a SUV vehicle for me was not placed on reserve is beyond me. On Thursday March 2nd I receive a call that my vehicle was ready for pick up. I went back to the dealership to drop off the loaner and pick up my vehicle. I asked for Ken but he was nowhere to be found. The dealership then sent out Bob who basically didn’t want to hear me. The salesman brought me my vehicle and the vehicle was returned to me filthy! Not only the back bumper which was being worked on, but driver’s side, passenger side, safety step completely filthy. How does this make sense? A brand new vehicle ~$60K is brought in for a repair. How could they not return the vehicle to me in either same condition or at least as a curtesy the vehicle washed? The next morning I called and spoke to Ken(“GM”). All Ken did was pass the blame to others in the dealership, from the service center to the salesman (Kevin Pratt). When I asked Ken why a SUV was not placed on reserve he had the audacity to respond by saying well did Kevin (Salesman) know you needed an SUV. Really??????? After constant passing the buck around I had enough and decided to contact corporate. I spoke with corporate who opened a “Case”. Corporate puts me in contact with the customer experience manager of the Freeport dealership. Dawn contacted me inquiring how we can make things better. After telling her what happened she then tells me she needed to speak with the GM to find out the story. The next day she calls me and all of a sudden her tune changes. She went from wanting to make things right by asking what equipment upgrades would make this better, to telling me that there is nothing for them to do for me and that the dealership did the right thing???? She goes on further and tells me that Ken”GM” offered me $100 for service which wasn’t true. When I mentioned to her how is this right? She mentioned that the dealership did no wrong! And that supposable with regards to my loaner car someone had mentioned to me that they could have gotten me a traverse loaner but that I needed to wait 3 days but I didn’t want to wait?? Of course I would have waited! Obviously every employee within the Freeport dealership are going to stick with what the GM says. When I asked her why her tune changed she mentioned that she spoke with Ken(GM) and that was it. I am still currently waiting for Tim the dealership owner to contact me.. This place is a joke. I continuously receive emails, texts about customer service but yet they really don’t give an ounce about customers. If they did they would do the right thing and treat customers with respect. Word of mouth is huge… I will never recommend this place to anyone. I will ensure I post my review on all applicable sites so that individuals know what they are getting themselves involved with. Hope this review finds you well Ken. Remember you’re not bigger or better than anyone! More
