Great service - Instant pickup My son and I walked into Paul Conte Chevrolet in Freeport, New York and were greeted by Arthur Kaplan. We were looking for the new Malibu body style, My son and I walked into Paul Conte Chevrolet in Freeport, New York and were greeted by Arthur Kaplan. We were looking for the new Malibu body style, but pre-owned if possible because of our budget. My son's car was broken down permanently and was stuck out on Long Island. Mr. Kaplan said follow me "I have something you're really going to love". He walked us over to a brand new 2013 Malibu with only 28 miles on it. He gave us a fantastic used car price and explained that if you don't have transportation now, if you get new plates you could drive this car out right now. He sat with the finance manager and got us a rate that could not be beaten. Mr. Kaplan called our insurance company; got us insured and on the road within three hours. Great Experience I had recently brought my 2007 Pontiac G6 to the Paul Conte Chevrolet show room because my check engine light came on. There I met George Frouxides a I had recently brought my 2007 Pontiac G6 to the Paul Conte Chevrolet show room because my check engine light came on. There I met George Frouxides and told him my problem. George was very courteous and helpful. He immediately sent me to the service department and service rep Ethan proceeded to take my information. It was quite apparent that Ethan was very knowledgeable and he assured me that the car was in good hands. He told me to leave the car with him and that he would call me as soon as they knew the problem. Shortly after the phone rang and it was Ethan. Ethan told me that the catalytic converter was bad and needed to be replaced. He also told me that it was still covered under warranty and that I could pick up the car the next day. Obviously I was extremely happy and I highly recommend Paul Conte Chevrolet! More

TITLE PENDING I purchased a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2011 Traverse LTZ in June of 2013 with 45+ k miles on it. Within 8 months I had to replace ALL 4 TIRES ($721.00). I purchased a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2011 Traverse LTZ in June of 2013 with 45+ k miles on it. Within 8 months I had to replace ALL 4 TIRES ($721.00). The brakes were replaced earlier in 2014, when I would have expected a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED car to be in better shape. Overall, since owning the car, I have added 18 K miles to it, driving to Florida and Canada on a few occasions and the car has been fine. However, on Saturday, July 26th I had my car delivered to the shop via flatbed because it was misfiring and not running. Since then I've been told that I needed a fuel pump, 3 fuel injectors, BOTH catalytic converters, a starter and a new battery. When ALL those things were replaced, I was told there was silver sludge in the motor and that I was going to get a new motor. I BASICALLY PURCHASED A LEMON! When I questioned Phil Wolhar Chief Marketing Officer about simply putting me into a new Traverse, which I saw on the lot, there was NO consideration given to the fact that Paul Conte screwed me with a LEMON...I received an eMail from George Gwizdala, simply telling me that if I wanted that car, my new payment would be $300.00 MORE per month!!! IN ALL FAIRNESS, Ethan in the Service Department has been a TREMENDOUS help, though I would appreciate more frequent updates. He got me into a compatible loaner car and from what I can tell, has been pushing to get my repairs FINALLY done. Additionally, I have now been in contact with Steve Skulnik, who has assured me that Paul Conte as a whole, wants to retain me as a satisfied customer and believe that he will do what he can to assist me. As of this morning (9/4) the work HAS started on my car...expected to complete within the next few days, at which time Steve assured me the car would be returned to me in the condition I expect it to be in. TO BE FAIR TO STEVE AND THE DEALERSHIP AS A WHOLE, I AM AMENDING THIS REVIEW FOR THE TIME BEING, PENDING MY EXPERIENCE WHEN THE CAR IS RETURNED SOMETIME NEXT WEEK. AT THAT TIME, I WILL AMEND THIS REVIEW ONCE AGAIN TO TRULY REFLECT MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE. 10/3/2014 - UPDATE: Well... I after 48 DAYS I did gt the car back and have put over 1100 miles on the car and it runs great. Overall, I would have to say that I have been made whole by Paul Conte. Steve Skulnik did update me regularly and is meeting with me when I come in for my next oil change to work out some minor issues. While I can still not get past the way I was dismissed when inquiring about simply getting into a new Traverse, or the whole 48 DAY repair job, I do have to say that, at the end of the day, I was taken care of as a customer and am amending this review to reflect the OVERALL experience. More
