Originally, I had a tough time buying from the dealership, due to pricing issues that was posted. I submitted a review on the negative experience I had. Tim, who is the owner, promptly called me dealership, due to pricing issues that was posted. I submitted a review on the negative experience I had. Tim, who is the owner, promptly called me to rectify the problem. He proved to me that he and his dealership, are customer oriented, and offered me a chance to earn my business. To make a long story short, I picked up my Mustang Convertible yesterday evening. Tim and his staff, are a dealership that you should head out to first, they will try very hard to earn your business. If an issue comes up, and with any business, who doesn't, please do yourself a favor, voice it to the dealership, and give them a chance to earn your business. I am glad that I did, when I am ready to purchase another vehicle, East Hills is my choice. If you see a silver Mustang convertible driving down Douglaston, that could be me. Thanks Tim , you are a gentleman, and keep up the great work. You definitely have earned my business, and I will be sending referrals to your show room. Oh, they have some great used cars to choose from. More

Since I had a problem registering an out of state leased car in NY, and had to purchase a new one, I was recommended to East Hills Chevrolet. They understand that I was in dire straits and were extremely he car in NY, and had to purchase a new one, I was recommended to East Hills Chevrolet. They understand that I was in dire straits and were extremely helpful and gracious. They went above and beyond to help me, and their customer service was something I have never experienced at car dealership. I have purchased/leased several cars in the past, and I have now found a dealership that really cares. Scott is an excellent salesman, and Bob the Manager did everything possible to help me in my dilemma. Mike in Finance was amazing and extremely helpful. I called General Motors to let them know that this is an OUTSTANDING dealership and they should be rewarded for excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend East Hills Chevrolet, GO SEE SCOTT! More
I must admit that I was a bit nervous purchasing a vehicle after reading 2 reviews that were certainly not flattering...but I was pleasantly supprised by the overall experience. I dealt with Dennis, vehicle after reading 2 reviews that were certainly not flattering...but I was pleasantly supprised by the overall experience. I dealt with Dennis, the Sales Manager there. He was straight forward with no BS but really seemed concerned that I would be happy with my purchase. I purchased a Trailblazer SS and I am very happy with the truck....low miles, clean and a great price. They had the lowest price around and made the transaction as smooth as possible! This was a large commitment for me since I was coming out from NJ. I took 1 bus and 2 trains to get there so it was quite a haul but Dennis even had someone come out to the train station to get me! Unheard of! I would definetly give this dealer a chance....exceeded my expectations! More
East Hills Douglaston: So I went online searching for used vehicles, when I came upon this dealership selling a 2008 Trailblazer Super Sport for $27,995 with 25,106 miles on it. The guy Andy on the phon used vehicles, when I came upon this dealership selling a 2008 Trailblazer Super Sport for $27,995 with 25,106 miles on it. The guy Andy on the phone from the Roslyn branch was very nice, and he set me up with this guy Larry, who was a tool from the word go. I test drove the car around the block on the bumpy, pot hole filled Northern Blvd, and enjoyed the ride of the truck, so I put a deposit down and filled out the paperwork. Upon initial agreement, I was putting nothing out of pocket, and the 500 dollar deposit was supposed to be returned to me, minus the DMV fees, once I picked up the car. WORD TO THE WISE; always calculate out the monthly payments on your own, because these shady characters called me two days later and say the truck is ready and my monthly payments are 587, which is 30 a month over what I calculated on my own. When I asked them about this, they said they'd look into it. I had to call THEM back, and apparently it was a mathematical error on their part. My fiance and I drive down there after I got out of work at 6pm, and they have us wait for almost two hours. When I finally get the paperwork in front of me, the price is 500 over what was agreed, again raising the monthly payments. After arguing back and forth for a half hour, they fix it, and then expect me to sign an agreement that if my trade in has any problems with it, they can adjust my loan accordingly. I absolutely did not sign it, and even the finance guy said he's never seen that before. We move to a different office and I tell them I want every piece of paper I signed voided and copied, I was abandoning this deal. They eventually made it right, but then they told me the 500 I put down was applied to the loan and expect me to pay another 120 for the DMV fees. I was supposed to get 380 back! They waive that, I ate the 500 and went to the truck. They never buffed out the scratches as agreed, and the previous owners cigarettes, insurance cards and other garbage was still in the truck! They never prepped it. So I drove off agreeing to bring it back the next day to have it buffed out, get a navigation disc and detailed. Keep in mind I live an hour away from this place. Within the first fifteen minutes of driving it, it starts pulling to the right down the Cross Island Pkwy. I immediately called the dealership to return the car, bring it in tomorrow and it'll get done. I bring it back the next day to get the above mentioned fixed, plus have the XM antenna replaced since it was hanging off. I leave it for a day, and pick it up Friday afternoon. Service #1. Driving home, it still pulls to the right, and it now jerks while sitting at a light. I call the guy the next day, and Dennis tells me it needs a front alignment but they don't have the machine to do it! So I take it to a mechanic, as agreed that they'd pay up to 50 dollars, for an alignment. The mechanic does it and the truck still pulls to the right. He tells me the alignment is good, but the pulling and jerking is cause the transfer case on this AWD SS is shot! A car a year old! Service #2. I complain to Chevrolet directly and they tell me I have to bring it back to East Hills. So I leave it for four days while I was on vacation (because they, of course, have no rental vehicles) and pick it up on Monday evening. The service guy tells me that the pulling to the right was a tire pressure issue (bull) and the rattling over bumps, another disorder to a disease ridden truck, was a busted hood prop that they replaced (more bull because the rattling stops when you apply any pressure to the brake pedal). And the quote of the day; the truck doesn't show any trouble code for the jerking, so it must just be the way the truck rides!!!! Are you kidding? Look at the "Service Stabilitrack" light staring you in the face! So I drive it off the lot, and guess what; it's still doing everything I brought it in for!!! At this point I've had it and called Chevrolet again and spoke to a District Specialist. Service #3. I brought it to my own mechanic to look at it, and he says the truck was involved in an accident and the front bumper is held on by Zip Ties! Long story shortened, I took the truck to Habberstad Nissan in Huntington and traded it in for a brand new 2009 Pathfinder LE with everything the SS had and then some. I'm paying almost 9000 dollars more for this truck, but you know what? It works beautifully! East Hills Chevrolet: Sells you lemons! 2008 Trailblazer SS purchased: August 11, 2009 2008 Trailblazer SS traded in: September 3, 2009 Avoid this dealership like the plague! More
I had a terrible experience with this dealership. It should be noted that I went to the Douglaston branch of this dealership, perhaps the one in Roslyn doesn't operate the same way although with the sam should be noted that I went to the Douglaston branch of this dealership, perhaps the one in Roslyn doesn't operate the same way although with the same owner I am guessing that both places work the same way. The initial salesman, Flavio, I worked with was very friendly and I do not blame him for the experience I had. We agreed upon a price, offer sheet signed and all conditioned upon an agreement on finance terms. I came in the next day with plates, insurance, registration all in place. I waited for 3 hours while they put the new plates on, switched my insurance, and got a finance deal put into place, upon which I spoke to their sales manager. Without any word or warning, they had put a 995 dollar fee hidden in the contract that I almost signed until I saw that the price I was signing off on was 1000 more than agreed upon. There was not a single word spoken to me about this 1000 dollar increase, not for the entire day between us agreeing to the price and me going back to the dealership, and not for the entire 3 hours that I spent waiting at the dealership to speak to the finance manager. This is not the way to do business, and if this is common practice I can't imagine legal action has not been taken on this dealership as of yet. I am just grateful that I caught the increase in price before I signed the contract. also, when I complained about his practice, the response I got was not one of any remorse. The only person to apologize was Flavio. The manager there instead told me that if I were willing to pay more for the car there would be no issue. I told him the price wasnt the issue, the principle behind the way they do business was. Apparently this fell on deaf ears since I received no apology whatsoever from him about this. I guess they just think its ok to try to backdoor an extra 1000 dollars onto the agreed upon price all the while keeping me at the dealership for 3 hours without telling me. More
