I'm writing this review to possibly help others that are purchasing from out-of-state. It starts with buying a classic 1973 Bronco for 125k. The pictures are/were stunning! I had calls with the owner, sales purchasing from out-of-state. It starts with buying a classic 1973 Bronco for 125k. The pictures are/were stunning! I had calls with the owner, salesman and mechanic who said, and I quote, “this is better than brand new”. It’s perfect! Two individuals at the dealership stated it has gone through a detailed inspection and it’s flawless. When it was delivered, the outside was gorgeous and the inside had oil stains all over the seats and carpets. I sent pictures to Eddie (sales). I paid $125 dollars to have oil stains removed. The day after I took delivery, I went for my first drive. You guessed it, died in the middle of traffic and nearly was hit head on. I had to have it towed back to my house as it was a Sunday. On Monday, I had it towed to the shop in FL. I have both receipts, one for $143.50 and the other for $192.50 from Nettles towing. Two more expenses out of pocket. The salesman texts me and writes, "I wish all customers were like you, not screaming, mad, or cursing after this ordeal". I’m reasonable and want to give the benefit of the doubt that items may have been overlooked. That's not the case and I still haven’t received compensation for the 3 receipts. Moreover, it’s 7 weeks later and I have driven the Bronco 3 times total for 45 minutes. I should say I only had it a total of 4 days in my possession due to repairs in the shop in FL. This Bronco has so many issues that if I didn’t see it myself along with the pictures, I would not have believed it. Documented these findings with pictures and videos from shop. 1. AC Broken, leaking, blowing hot air and unit installed improperly. A hole in the unit was covered with tinfoil, not the proper hose. It’s a brand-new unit. 2. The electrical wiring was routed improperly to ignition. 3. The passenger door was not aligned and needs to be cut to fix properly as it has ruined the paint and dented the side roof line. 4. There was no emergency break installed 5. The speakers are blown in front of the Bronco 6. Reverse lights not hooked up to transmission. Actually, there is no wire for reverse lights installed at all. 7. Coil was bad - needed to be replaced 8. Oil filter installed wrong - The oil was leaking so bad that I slipped in my garage the night after delivery. 9. The vehicle is out of alignment 10.The tires are 6 years old. Remember, this is a new-build. Have pictures from shop showing the age. 11. Brakes - The vacuum pump booster is bad. 12. Horn doesn’t work, easy fix, connection was off. 13. Two items on dash, USB, Wipers and Hazzard lights on steering wheel needed to be hooked up or adjusted properly 14. The passenger rear tire had a bad stem that caused the tire to go flat. It was delivered this way, flat! 15. Repaired and replaced a melted wire loom. 16. The spark Plugs had to be replaced, not all of them, some due to a thick cement like material in the plugs themselves. 17. The back window has crack in the right-hand corner I am working with Austin, who is in charge of the repair shop at Earth Motors. He has been empathetic and has been communicating with the shop in FL. I have another classic car and due to Austin’s professionalism, I was thinking about trading it in for another classic. I was given a new salesperson as Eddie left. He worked with Frank (owner) to provide me numbers for my trade. Frank offered me 10k, 12k and 11,250 less than 3 other dealers. I sent detailed pictures and a video along with a detailed build sheet. Salesperson states the 383 Stroker is not a good engine. Meanwhile, Earth Motors just sold a Chevy 3100 with the same engine for mid 60’s. What poor business practices. Why would you try to screw a customer who is dealing with major issues already? Salesman states, the Bronco is your issue, not mine. I learned my lesson. Run as fast as you can. I hope you read this review and think twice before making the same mistake I did. Trust is earned, and they failed! More
I would recommend Earth Motors too anyone I know. The salesmen Tony is fantastic in answering questions and getting the info I needed. And his follow up calls have been great. Jonathan the finance person was great also through out the process. Cade the Manager worked with Tony to make both of us happy for the final purchase price..
