Originally, I was excited to work with these guys. They seemed to have a nice selection of cars, as well as a nice show room. My other first impression was, "Did I just step into a mob movie or somet seemed to have a nice selection of cars, as well as a nice show room. My other first impression was, "Did I just step into a mob movie or something? Are these guys "rubbing out" people to get cars? Cars with big, chrome, shiny wheel?" In any case, I did talk to a guy named Jerry, who is apparently the Finance Manager or something. He was nice enough and made all the promises in the world. I have some credit issues that make me a bit tougher candidate, but have good income. I am also looking for a specific car with specific options, so I realize I am not the easiest candidate. However, Jerry said he could find whatever I needed and left me with a feeling of confidence. This feeling of confidence changed, however, over the period of 2 or 3 months of nothing but unanswered calls, email, and texts. Well, to be fair, Jerry would respond... when convenient... with statements like, "Let's talk and make a plan. I will call you in 10." I would wait. I would text back. Then I would call back. Nothing. No response. A week would go by. Nothing. At one point, when I still had confidence that this was a legitimate set up, I gave a friend Jerry's phone number. She was looking for a basic 5 Series BMW. Nothing that was tough to work with. She had great credit and it could have been a slam dunk. She never got a single return call and ended up buying from the dealership within one week. I have another friend who wanted to upgrade his 6-series BMW and I considered suggesting Earth Motorcars. I never did. Needless to say, I would not suggest wasting your time with this group. I visited their showroom a couple of times throughout the process and left each visit with slimy, need-to-take-a-shower feel. And my experiences with attempting to work with Jerry made this feeling even more a reality. One more thing: They jack up the prices of their cars. At one point, when Jerry actually communicated, he said he found the perfect car. He would sell it to me for a specific price. I had already found the same car on a popular website for $5500 lower. I realize Jerry needs to make money and I am happy to pay for services. However, sleazy services with no communication? Nah. I'd rather not pay for that. More
