This dealership told us we were approved for a 2010 Nissan Maxima. We filled out all paperwork, signed and left with the car. After 2 weeks, they call us and tell us we need to bring the car back. The bank would not approve us for the amount of the car. 2 WEEKS NOW! NOT 2 DAYS! My husband and I already spent money on the new car. Mack was very rude and wanted to laugh at us when we were upset. He threatened to even come take the car. Who's fault is it? Not ours...that's your job to make sure the customer is approved before they leave the lot. What kind of business would let you leave with the car anyways when it is not for certain? We spoke with Daniel also. He was no help. It seems as they are your best friends when you come to buy the car, and if something falls through they all turn their cheek, mad ...because of their screw up and because they "lost money," ohhh you poor things! I have never been in and out of a dealership in less than 3hours. Hector listen to my situation and within minutes he was working the numbers and the paperwork started. They transfered everything from my vehicle to the new one and I was on my way feeling on top of the world in my new Acura. I had been to a previous dearlership the day before who kept telling me there was nothing they could do for me. I guess it was God's way of letting me know there was something better coming my way. He explained what they had and took us to the show room cars, we look at 3 differnt vehicle, test drove the one we liked. all in all we were very happy and was treated very well by the staff. I bought my car literally over the phone. I had been looking for this particular model for many months and happened to find it at Duval Acura. Since I lived 1 1/2 hours away in GA, David started the ba looking for this particular model for many months and happened to find it at Duval Acura. Since I lived 1 1/2 hours away in GA, David started the ball rolling over the phone for me. He got me the info on the car, calculated the approximate trade in value of my existing vehicle, started the financing process, and put the car on "Hold" for me pending final approval. He didn't want me to make that long drive if things didn't work out. They did work out and I drove down later that day to sign the papers and drive my new car home. Everything from the price of the vehicle I purchased to the sales and financing process was handled smoothly and efficiently by all. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure I was well taken care of when I arrived at the dealership. I must say it was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had! (purchase price $28,600 w/o tax, tag, title-$200 over invoice) The salesman was one I had experiences with at another dealership so I suppose that helped. But I highly recommend using a car buying service, if you're able. Service has been outstanding thus far. I've needed a couple of TSB's performed which were completed with zero complaint or fuss from the dealership. One had to be done twice. Acura had come out with a different "fix" after the first TSB. I have to assume there were many like myself where the first one didn't work as intended. Again, zero balking by the dealership to perform the "fix". I'm ALWAYS treated with the utmost respect, promptly greeted, and given a free loaner when needed. Any special discount, if one is available, is given without asking. i.e. Just had a B-1 service performed and was unaware there was a special for 15% off any service. Nice surprise when I noticed it on the bill. Can't say enough good things about Duval Acura. They have been nothing short of wonderful to me! More
