Ccammed by salesperson into financing I got an online quote which I later learned that no financing was needed. Was told that this was in the online quote price which turned out to be false. After much argument, was told that I either take it or leave it. I felt like I was begging for welfare. Worst car buying experience in my life! I needed the car badly and had to go with. Later found out that Sandy stole the sale from internet manager who did not even know that I bought the car! If you happen to go to Dublin Hyundai, never let her touch your sale! More
Pushy and Unprofessional So initially I was on Cargurus.com and came across an Acura TL-S at Dublin Hyundai. On May 17th I call the dealership to confirm the Acura is for sale So initially I was on Cargurus.com and came across an Acura TL-S at Dublin Hyundai. On May 17th I call the dealership to confirm the Acura is for sale and if so, if I could come by and check it out. The person I spoke on the phone with was Braden and he said that they did still have the car available, and so I said that I would be over in an hour to look at the TL. When I arrive, Braden is on the phone so the receptionist tells me to have a seat and to help myself to the doughnuts and coffee available, which was kind. Ten minutes later, Braden and another sales person, Sayed come over and say, let’s go look at the car. Braden says, “Oh, that’s a nice car! Ive had three calls on it this morning!” First, they didn’t know where the car was located in the parking lot, actually in the opposite direction of the way he indicated. Then as I’m walking out the door to look at the Acura, Braden casually mentions to Sayed that the car was not emissions tested and said I could only do a short drive, which was to the end of the court and back, so at most a quarter mile at 25-30 mph. The Acura appeared fine, however the entire inspection I did seemed rush all in all. They mentioned the features on it, which I already knew since I knew someone who had one previously. They claimed the previous owner was an old couple. My test drive thereafter was at most five minutes. Then I am whisked inside to talk about buying it. When I ask them the price of the car they simply reply, “Well, you saw the car online, right? So you should know the price”. I am handed back over to Braden and I talk about financing the vehicle. They take my Mother’s and I’s driver’s license. Then they have me fill out an application and after ten minutes the come back and say that my credit history is limited therefore I need a co-signer, which I asked my Mother to be. Braden becomes evermore pushy, and they have us fill out the application (again) and when they come back with our credit reports, my Mother’s was very inaccurate, and when she points that out to them, they question her authenticity, as if she wouldn’t know if a home mortgage was taken out in her name. They also become more personal in their questioning of my Mother’s employment history, not knowing that when you are self-employed that you can work out of your home. Thereafter, they come back with a form asking for what kind of down-payment I would provide and when I tell them they somehow calculate $400 a month, which means they are either charging me over 20% APR on a car loan or they can’t do basic arithmetic and forgot to include the down-payment I would provide in their equation. (Online car finance calculators were projecting at most $300). It has been almost half an hour and they are still holding our driver’s licenses, as I know is a tactic to keep you from leaving. I ask for them, and they simply reply, yeah, yeah, we’ll give you back your license (Other dealerships I’ve been to simply take a photo and return them instantaneously) When I tell Braden that I can get a better deal from my insurance company, he scoffs and says that they don’t give loans, in which he is shocked when I tell me I already was qualified for a loan from my insurance company at infinitely better monthly payments and APR. They upset my Mom further by asking more about her credit and income, to which she replies that it would simply be her name on it and that I would be wholly responsible for the payments. Finally they give us our licenses back and Braden and Sayed then disappear saying that they will run my application among banks and to let me give them a chance. They were gone for at least twenty minutes with no checking back or providing updates on their progress. As a result, my Mother and I leave and while driving home they attempted to call us, back they did not leave a voicemail, email us about our experience or to check if I was still interested. Fast forward to ten days later and I receive a letter from a bank denying me a loan on the basis that they could not verify my Social Security number. This dealership thereby lowered my credit score because they could not input or proofread a form on a credit application! Braden made what could have been a sale, but instead made basic math errors, become increasingly pushy and nosy, and never contacted us at any point or left a message touching base. They did not sell the Acura until five to seven days later and had an opportunity to seal a sale on the second day and ruined it. More

He didn't haggle us or bother us with 100 phone calls when we were trying to make our decision, which we really appreciated. He was very kind and respectful. He had extreme knowledge of the cars and answered all of our questions and gave good details about the car without taking up too much time. More
