Avoid this service by all means absolutely the worst in the business and i know because i switch cars every year. Absolute nightmare of an experience trying to buy a vehicle! But considering how bad all these other reviews are - thank God I didn't give them any money. Nobody at this company has a clue of what they're doing! The dealer sent the Driveway rep Tanya McCord my invoice, VIN, price, and actual picture of the car at the dealership. Tanya explained she needs to work with her team to get the vehicle loaded in the system so they can ship it to me. Two weeks later, after dozens of emails/texts, her supervisor "Mike" sends me an urgent text telling me they cannot deliver the vehicle until it arrives at the dealer... the dealer the car has been waiting for them to ship to me the past two weeks. A total clown-show!!! It feels like every employee has been there less than a month... nobody knows what's going on or how to get anything done. Worse, because of what a disaster the company is - they're attracting the same type of people. No doubt desperate people are getting the job and interviewing with other companies while they get a weekly check. Stay away from this company. More

I purchased a vehicle from driveway at the beginning of June. I paid almost $6000 more than what the car is worth and what other similar vehicles are selling for. Because of this, I expected there to be ve June. I paid almost $6000 more than what the car is worth and what other similar vehicles are selling for. Because of this, I expected there to be very minimal damage, and even asked the sales manager at the car dealership the car was at (Honda of Ames) if he could send me photos of any possible damage, and he told me the car had no damage and that it was a “gem”. The car was delivered to me with an oil leak, failed emissions, cracked tail light, and a dented in rocker panel. I could never get a straight answer on if driveway would repair the issues, so I asked to return the car, and it was picked up a day or two later. I figured that because the car was misrepresented to me, that I would get a full refund of my down payment. They are claiming they are not going to reimburse me for the $1250 I paid for shipping, which is absolutely absurd because they were the ones who fraudulently misrepresented the car. The only amount of money I’ve received back was the $500 deposit I placed when purchasing the car. I am still owed $2902.70. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from driveway.com. I have never felt so defrauded in my life. More

When I called in, I got someone live and on different occasions, I get the response of someone will call you or I am in Quality Control queue and my queue # hasn’t changed each time I called. Actually it got further down the list. One rep said I will get the documents mailed in a few days. Another said just another week. Still nothing. More
BAIT & SWITCH! Stop collecting money for title and taxes if you’re not going to handle the paper work in a timely fashion ! I don’t want to hear my complaint has been expedited as a response either you said that months ago and I have an inbox full of me talking to myself. !! More
I purchased a car from driveway, the purchase process was pretty smooth, docs arrived quickly and the car was set off to be delivered. Minor troubles at first with HUUGGE issues to follow Troubles came once I got an email saying the car would be delivered that afternoon. I called a few times to clarify if that was accurate and was assured by 3 different people that it was. I heard nothing from a delivery driver, and then at 6 pm from a dispatcher asking if they could drop off the car at midnight -1am. I thought it was obscure, but thought it was worth staying awake for (I have a well lot spot on my property if needed). No call from anyone all night, stayed up until 2:30 a.m. and called every number I could to get ahold of someone, and of course the dispatcher's VM was full Called driveway the next day to get an update but nobody at all could give me an update until about 6pm I got an update that the car would be delivered the following day (2 days after the initial delivery day), and we agreed on a delivery time of 10-11 the next day. A driver showed up and dropped off the car with a 3 min warning. These issues are more to do with the delivery company, but driveway needs to contract with better companies. The car had the most intense road rash I have ever seen on the car, as if it had driven 200k miles on gravel road behind a quad. They did offer for me to take it to a dealership and fix it, or give $500, but it felt like something that should have been shown in the pictures or noted somewhere. The real issue came when I took the car to be inspected and there was an oil pan leak, transmission leak,valve cover leak, cracked control arm bushings and a bunch of other less serious issues. I contacted driveway and was reassured they would make sure all of that would be fixed with no cost to me. I supplied them with the inspection report, and videos showing the leaks (taken by a certified tech). Nobody could tell me what the plan was, but kept assuring me it would be okay, bs on Bs. Each person told me they would look into it and call me back, but never did. I finally got ahold of someone after 2 days and found out none of the mechanical issues were covered in the warranty. So they were trying to procrastinate beyond the 7 day return window and then leave me with a paper weight. I took it to the nearest lithia dealership immediately, and was still in my return window. It's been almost a week. They keep saying they have refunded my down payment, but they only refunded the 500 down payment, but it says in their notes it's been initiated, no transaction # or receipt or anything. More

I've went through like 3 different people who have been "working on it" . They seem helpful at first but then they don't ever return messages or emails. They say they will make it right at first but they never do. I just want to drive the vehicle I purchased. I cant even say if I even like it or if it has any mechanical issues because its been sitting in my driveway since April 12th. More
