Purchasing a car can be a significant emotional and financial investment, and entrusting that process to Driveways has proven to be an extremely regrettable decision for far too many. Customers have re financial investment, and entrusting that process to Driveways has proven to be an extremely regrettable decision for far too many. Customers have repeatedly found themselves grappling with vehicles that become faulty shortly after their purchase. A common tale involves cars operating smoothly for a few months, only to develop mechanical issues that were clearly not disclosed at the time of sale. The burden of these unforeseen repairs is hefty, and Driveways remains disturbingly indifferent to these recurring problems. The disintegration of vehicle quality can feel like a betrayal of trust. Numerous reports indicate that, within months, several buyers experience major mechanical failures. These issues range from failing transmissions to engine breakdowns, which are daunting challenges for any car owner, especially new buyers who expected reliability. Driveways’ cars seem to be plagued by such severe shortcomings, which are seemingly ignored at the point of sale, making the initial pride of owning a new vehicle a bitter experience. When reaching out to Driveways for resolutions, one is met with customer service that can only be described as dismissive. Customers have reported a nightmarish experience when trying to address these faults, with representatives often redirecting blame or making empty promises of assistance. Instead of the understanding and support that would be expected in such distressing circumstances, buyers are frequently left feeling like they are a nuisance rather than valued customers. Complaints appear to fall on deaf ears, reinforcing the perception that Driveways is more interested in securing a sale than maintaining customer satisfaction. The financial implications of purchasing a car only to be burdened with exorbitant repair costs cannot be understated. Given the hidden issues in these cars, buyers are often left stranded with high repair bills. Such unforeseen expenses are unsettling, leading to financial strain and a sense of exploitation. Customers are essentially trapped, having to pay significant amounts to restore functionality to vehicles they recently invested in, rendering the promise of an affordable purchase a deceptive myth. With these glaring issues, it becomes imperative to warn potential buyers about these dangers. The ordeal of dealing with faulty cars, coupled with indifferent customer service, creates a perilous buying environment at Driveways. Buyers deserve transparency and quality, yet those purchasing through Driveways risk throwing their hard-earned money into never-ending repair bills, alongside stress and frustration. There is a striking consensus among dissatisfied customers: save yourself the grief and steer clear of this company. In summary, the overall experience with Driveways can be alarmingly negative, leaving many to feel cheated and helpless. Purchasing a car should be a joyous occasion, marking new beginnings and adventures, not a cumbersome journey fraught with mechanical failures and deteriorating service. It’s wise for potential buyers to heed these warnings and explore alternative avenues that prioritize both quality in their vehicles and support towards their customers. More
Bought a 2020 Corolla through Driveway, was told it passed inspections without issues and had no cosmetic damage. It was delivered to me with a headlight out, a leaking suspension, no temp registration passed inspections without issues and had no cosmetic damage. It was delivered to me with a headlight out, a leaking suspension, no temp registration, dents and scrapes on the front and side of car, only one keys instead of two, and with a legitimately filthy interior. When I say filthy, I mean it - it was evident that absolutely no effort was made to clean this car before sale. Coffee spills were caked all over the interior, the upholstery was stained and gross, and there was some sort of candy or SOMETHING caked onto part of the dash so firmly that it took me 20 minutes of scraping and scrubbing to get it off. The dashboard had a bunch of weird puncture and bite marks, seemingly from a dog - as did the steering wheel. NONE of this was disclosed before the vehicle arrived. To get the headlight fixed, it took weeks of chasing this company to pay for the repair. Absolutely every aspect of this experience was a nightmare. I mean seriously…the entire headlamp unit needed to be replaced because it was waterlogged - you’re telling me nobody noticed that in your pre-sale inspection??? This company will mask vehicle issues and drag its feet on fixing their own mistakes. Buy a car through literally any other avenue, Driveway is the absolute worst. More
