We are very sorry that your air went out while you were on your trip! Especially right after we had checked it. At the time of our inspection, it was working properly. Your car was purchased on 5/2/2015. You returned on 5/26/2015 because the air conditioner was not cooling properly. Our service manager, Don, sent the vehicle to Crest Cadillac under factory warranty. Upon return of the vehicle, Crest Cadillac had stated “low on Freon, performed leak test with A/C analysis machine ,no leak detected, filled with Freon added dye, customer to return at later date for evaluation.” When you returned to pick up the vehicle, you were given a copy of the repair order from Crest and informed of what Cadillac had documented. You kept the car regularly maintenanced here. On 4/27/2016 (almost a year later), you bought the SRX back saying that the A/C had again begun to cool improperly. Our other service manager, Joe, put you in a loaner car, so you could continue on with your day. Our service department evacuated and recharged the A/C system adding a little under a half a pound of Freon to the vehicle. We continued to monitor and test the vehicle's A/C system over the course of the next two days, checking for leaks in it, both with an A/C dye light and A/C sniffer. No leaks could be located. On 4/29/2016 you were notified that we were unable to find any leak in your A/C system, and the vehicle was cooling to 42 degrees, at which time, you returned to pick up you car and return the loaner. You came back on 5/18/2016 to have it rechecked, and it was still blowing at 42 degrees. 2 days later we received this review. The car was purchased 5/2/2015 with 26,026 miles. It came back 5/26/2015 with 26,824 miles and was sent to Cadillac. Then it came back roughly a year later on 4/27/2016 with the same issue with 51,894 miles on it. It was last checked on 5/18/2016 with 52,636 miles, roughly 800 miles later. While we make every attempt to correct a problem, we can't guarantee a vehicle forever. The A/C was working correctly the last time we checked it. Again, we are so sorry the A/C quit working on your trip, but there wasn't any way for us to predict when it would stop working. We really appreciate your business and we wish there had been a way to prevent this problem, but everything was fine while we had the SRX in for testing.
