We are very sorry that you were displeased by the Driver's Way policy of being a One Price dealership. This has been our business model since we opened almost 20 years ago. As you mentioned, that 4Runner was an "As Is" vehicle, so the vehicle was being sold "as is". As in your case, we always encourage anyone purchasing an "As Is" vehicle to take it to his/her mechanic so the buyer is fully aware of the vehicle's current condition at the time of purchase. Nearly all older 4Runners have rear main seal seepage and it does not prevent the vehicle from operating properly. Because of this, though, we chose to price our vehicle accordingly. In a 250-mile radius, that 4Runner was the 2nd cheapest vehicle out of the 10 or so in the market. The only vehicle that was less expensive had almost 50,000 more miles. We feel that our price was fair and fitting when considering the condition of the vehicle. Being a One Price Dealership, the manager is not able to discount a vehicle, as haggling would be against a fundamental policy here. We do appreciate you considering Driver's Way.
