Roger III, Chris and Jill Holler Rogers, Vice-Presidents of our automotive group are the great-grandchildren of the fabled Bill Holler. He founded the General Motors Dealers' Son School established to prepare dealers' offspring to inherit the family franchise and his son, grandson and great-grandchildren were all graduates. From 1929 when General Motors Chairman, C.S. I have been hunting for a 2022 or 2023 White Chrysler Pacifica for a month now as I just got my Car Accident Settlement that gave me enough to buy exactly what I wanted cash out the door. I found a 2022 White Pacifica at Driver's Mart in Winter Park and scheduled with Salesman Sammy to see it at 12pm Saturday, February 15th, 2025. He knew we lived a hour north in Edgewater, Florida. We got there and he had it ready to test drive. He knew I was paying CASH for a car and not needing any financing. It should have been a very quick and easy sale. It was anything but. I noticed some body damage and asked to see other 2022/2023 Chrysler Pacificas on the lot. One was $3,000 more that I found was much nicer. After test driving two of them by 2pm I made my decision and told him to write it up at exactly 2pm, thinking we'd be done by 3pm and I could drive a hour home to grab my Ford F-150 trade in.....NOPE! We sat there for another 3 hours....no complimentary food or drinks, only a vending machine. I am diabetic. I ended up having to order pizza from Rosati's because I was starving after sitting for hours. The music is the show room was crazy loud and Sammy is very soft spoken. I am hearing impaired and could not hear him at all. My fiance was struggling to hear him and he is NOT hearing impaired. Our pizza finally showed up right as a Finance Guy pulled us in to go over the Extended Warranties. I had asked for all of this info in the hours we were sitting there waiting, never got this info ahead of time. So as I am trying to understand the different price points and deductibles the guy keeps leaving the room, disappearing for 5 minutes at a time, chicken scratching the pricing points down, then repeating this. I am a scientist, so I am very visual and analytical. WHY would they not have these amounts typed into a spreadsheet with formulas to just enter the car sale amount and then it just calculates it in a table to PRINT for the customer?? I am currently earning my MBA in Marketing, there are so many areas for improvement in this entire process! I also asked Sammy if my $24,000 van I was purchasing with cash was going to be detailed on the inside, it was sticky and gross!!! He ASSURED me it would be! By the time I was handed the keys to my van at 6pm it was getting dark. Guess what, it was NOT detailed! I live a hour away in Edgewater, Florida. I now need to pay a company to detail my new to me $24,000 purchase!! I bought a car at AutoNation Winter Park in March 2022 and had an AMAZING experience, not only did it only take 3 hours start to finish from 10am-1pm on a Saturday (with FINANCING), my car was meticulously cleaned on the inside AFTER my test drive AND they fed me lunch!! The only reason I did not go back to AutoNation Winter Park is because they did not have a Pacifica in my price range of <$25,000. Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY from this dealership, it was a complete NIGHTMARE! AutoNation of Winter Park showed me how customers SHOULD be treated in March 2022! This was the most expensive and luxurious vehicle I have ever bought and it's sticky, gross, and smells funky. I fail to understand why in the hours upon hours we were sitting around, my new to me car could not be PROPERLY detailed when I specifically asked Sammy if it would be and he assured me that is part of the purchase. Apparently not. Why on earth did it take SIX HOURS start to finish to get handed the keys to my $24,0000 2022 Chrysler Pacifica when I was not financing at all??? AVOID THIS PLACE! Go to AutoNation of Winter Park next door and be treated like royalty! More
