What I will say will move you and will allow you to make a conscious and positive decision when you buy from DriveTime West Colonial Drive... I purchased a BMW 2008 528I from their lot in August 2014 and based on the initial experience I was pleased by the level of customer service I received. I immediately referred my daughter and she purchased her first car from DriveTime a 2008 Toyota Yaris, we've both closed and drove away they same night with our new cars. The process was seamless, the vehicle walk around was professional and the cars were professionally cleaned. Our transaction lasted for more than 2 hours during closing time and all you seen were smiles in the office after hours. The BMW I purchased had another agenda in mind!!! six months into the car I have been experiencing problems ongoing problems that caused my car to not start... I had within six months had my car towed to the dealer 6 times... my first initial reaction was DriveTime sold me a lemon... I was angry, very angry at the fact that I had a purchased a car that was not reliable. I called and abruptly spoke with DriveTime management addressing my concerns with this car. They stood by their promise and paid for my repairs within the first 30 days, and trust me the bill was over $1200.00. After 30 days Drive Time procedures are to call the Averex warranty department for any claims you may have, well I did have additional reoccurring issues. I called Averex and I must say they are very very good... my third and fourth issues were covered plus tows up to $75.00 per tow, and all i paid for were my deductibles of 100 because their ASE mechanics were unable to identify the problem so they referred me to BMW dealership, again an expensive ticket over 1400.00 dollars; after the last couple of visits to the dealer even they say I dont understand why the car keep cutting off we have done all we could and we cannot diagnos why this is happening... another call to the dealer and another request to call customer service... through out all i have experienced I must say there professionalism stood strong even when I lost my cool a few times, when I finally became cleared headed I understand why they request each client to call customer service, DriveTime dealerships are only responsible to sell cars, referring to customer service is not a brushoff of the client but a mere one on one personal rep that will attend to your needs... if you think how could they deal with personal issues and sell cars it would really be tough. The customer service reps are more than just customer service they were there to help, they referred me to client relations where a solution was offered, to get me into another car. I agreed that me and BM Trouble need to separate our ties. One must understand my statement today is DriveTime did not sell me a lemon, under their guide lines the car at the time could have been perfect and ready for sale, its just one of those things that maybe the car was on its last lem and no one could have detected at the time. So i cant blame DriveTime or the BMW dealership... all I know is when I needed help Drive Time did what they could to make me a satisfied customer restoring my confidence in their company. I am now very happy with my new 2012 Kia Optima " NO ISSUES", Thank you for standing by me during the challenge, it only shows why your company is well recognized... More
