The trade in and purchase process was not only fair but, seamless. I ran into a dashboard light a few days after purchase and reached out to Joe who tackled it without batting an eye. Got my car back and it came back on. I called Joe again and he was not only sympathetic but, was already steps ahead of me to get it taken care of. It took a little longer than I would have liked however, Joe was giving me updates daily. I’ve since gotten my car back and have had zero issues. This was a going to be a positive review; on July 13th 2021, I traded in my 640i Gran Coupe and acquired a BMW wagon. After a few days I had a "laundry list" of items that needed to be addressed: i.e tir 2021, I traded in my 640i Gran Coupe and acquired a BMW wagon. After a few days I had a "laundry list" of items that needed to be addressed: i.e tires, struts, headlight motor, steering joint. They agreed to service all the items I requested. Due to global supply issues, service had my car for 5 weeks. Within a week and half after getting my wagon back, it was hit and considered a total loss. That's when everything started to go pear shaped. I found out they didn't submit the title paperwork to the state until late August. They didn't send a pay off check to Wells Fargo for the 640i until Sept 1st. From what I could find, a dealer has only 20-25 days to pay off a trade they take in. Drive Appeal willfully neglected to adhere to that. I ended up getting a 30 day hit to my credit and my Fico score instantly dropped 55 points. While I understand, I am ultimately responsible the the lien, it doesn't excuse the poor decision on Drive Appeals part. I will be pursuing whatever legal action I can against them. With the drop in my FICO score, all available low interest loans were out the door. Normally I would have qualified for a 2.9%, currently I could only get a 10.5%. On a 25k loan that is a difference of over $80 per month increase. Bottom line, take the car to a trusted mechanic before you buy and if you have a lien on your trade-in, be extra cautious. More
