Incorrect Syn oil grade. 27 Pt. free inspection report attached to invoice was for another vehicle (wrong VIN and mileage). Oil filter to engine mount not wiped cleaned after installation of unmarked filter canister. Tire rotation and fluid top off not performed. Did perform tire pressure check. Gave this dealership a second chance from previous work. Service Department lacking in attention to detail on a simple straight-forward service. Unfortunately, they will not earn a third visit. More

I believe all Subaru’s dealership service are the same and great! 5 stars. However I’ve had multiple services done in my car at three other Subaru service centers in the East Bay and so I am only compari and great! 5 stars. However I’ve had multiple services done in my car at three other Subaru service centers in the East Bay and so I am only comparing to the other dealerships. And I only go to Subaru service centers for any work on my car. I would give my service advisor 4 stars but the cashier 1 star. The cashier did not do anything wrong but she lack enthusiasm and like the waiting area, dull. No smiles, cold… I did not feel a positive vibe. I did not feel I was at a high quality service office. Maybe she was having a bad day but there are no 2nd first impressions. And the the waiting area did not help. It’s terrible! Unlike the other Subaru locations, there wasn’t a tv, a charging area, tables to eat or write, there were no snacks, nor a drink bar (I love Subaru’s hot chocolate all year round), the walls were plain white… it kind of felt like a prison cell. Depressing! Where is Subaru’s pride?! The waiting room has so much potential. Especially with so much natural light. I noticed the cashier’s work area was the same. Boring, depressing and dull! Where are the pictures of Subaru cars in nature, pictures of families camping, friends hiking and dogs running?! I consider Subaru high quality but the waiting room and cashier felt cheap. I am very disappointed with this dealership and unless there are great and positive changes, unfortunately Subaru of Oakland is my least favorite dealership. There are a couple of positives and one is the fact it was easy to get there and I love seeing mechanics working as I walk to the bathroom. Oh! The bathroom is so odd! It says men and women but there were a couple of stalls. I had to lock the main door to assure no man comes in, unless it’s free for all which that would make me feel uncomfortable sharing the bathroom with a man. I am a woman (an adult human female). Oh, I also remember, no one came to greet me when I pulled up! All the other Subaru service centers ALWAYS had a young fellow greeting me with their clipboard. I did brush that off but it took another 5 minutes for someone to help me. I did not know what to do! This whole experience at Oakland Subaru did not meet the high standards of what I know Subaru is. It felt very poor (quality). More
