Outstanding Dealership! Let me start by saying due to years of 85k miles a year commuting driving, I'll save embarrassment and just say I've purchased a lot of cars. Over 40 Let me start by saying due to years of 85k miles a year commuting driving, I'll save embarrassment and just say I've purchased a lot of cars. Over 40. A very close friend is the finance manager at another great dealership in Atlanta, Ga. So I am intimately familiar with car buying, and we'll informed on both sides of the process. Douglas Jeep was flawless from the start. David Barth gave me room to roam before greeting me, was not the least bit over aggressive, and at the same time right there with answers and assistance for everything I could come up with. As for negotiating purchase price, again A+. As everyone should, I looked for any possible discount. Let them know I was a veteran from first gulf war. Although a veteran, my service didn't meet the criteria for the discount. Instead of simply being told it couldn't effect price, I received a sincere thank you for my service from both the manager Todd, and my salesman. Class all the way. With very minimal back and forth we quickly reached my educated target figure, which surprised me. Due to finding the right car at the right price a couple weeks before I was really ready, I thought I'd still lose out. Nope! They held the Jeep I wanted with a very fair deposit. Of course my guard was up figuring that they would try to make up for it on the finance side. Again I was pleasantly surprised. My initial payment quoted was higher than I knew my credit should qualify for, so I gave them my fair target #. Tim in finance hit it right on the money first time. Than went above and beyond when I showed interest in a possible extended warranty and got my interest rate reduced further with the bank making it to good of a deal to pass up. Sorry so long a review, but it was as good a car buying experience as you could hope for. It deserved the full report. More
Under pressure The pressure started during the phone call I made. I was told the Jeep would not last long at that price. During the test drive "what do we have to do The pressure started during the phone call I made. I was told the Jeep would not last long at that price. During the test drive "what do we have to do to get your business" basically! Bert was also as knowlegable as he should have been about the equipment on the vehicle (and we talked about that & he agreed). Then the negotiations started that got me really nowhere so I'm not sure why I was asked "what do we have to do to get your business. Once the figure was arrived at I met Michelle in finance who is not listed on your employees And we went through the finance/warranty pressure. It was up to me to finance so Douglas Jeep could get the corporate sales numbers for the end of the month (more money from corporate for reaching a goal). That's all I needed to hear more pressure. The final interest 2pts. higher than what she thought. And then the xtended service contract warranty pressure. During that I was wondering if I was getting a reliable vehicle. I guess it's as reliable as the service contract. I know selling this is also part of Michelle's income but unlike most people buying a car today I didn't want to finance, I have a budget and I only have so much money. When picking up the Jeep (of which now I had reservations) I met Tim Racco who also started on the service contract spiel. I asked him "am I not buying a good vehicle" ? His answer was cars have computers and computers fail & cost a lot of money to replace ! More pressure !!!! The people at Douglas are nice people but that doesn't change the fact that even though these folks are trying to change the dealer image & process it hasn't happened in my case. I have spent about 30yrs. mostly with car dealerships in parts & service so I'm not unfamiliar with the environment. My experience goes back to Kaiser Jeep, AMC Jeep & Chrysler Jeep plus numerous others. This is also my very 1st NEW car. Was it the experience I had hoped it would be ? Unfortunately not as I wonder when my sign of trouble will be. The other question I have is should I sell my 2001 Chev Astro van with 236,000 miles on it as I know it will get me to Alaska again this spring. Or should I keep it around for awhile. Too much pressure!!!!! I didn't mark as to whether or not I would make a referral to Douglas Jeep. Reason is I would tell about my experience and let decide for themselves... More
Positively unbelievable Experience...still shaking my head From the time I pulled into the parking lot until the time I left in my new Grand Cherokee, my experience with Douglas Jeep Chrysler was unbelievable. From the time I pulled into the parking lot until the time I left in my new Grand Cherokee, my experience with Douglas Jeep Chrysler was unbelievable. I was greeted by David Franklin. I told him what I was looking for and he took it from there. I pretty much could have test driven the vehicle I wanted, given my personal information to him, left for a half hour and returned to only sign the documents. I received the best deal out of the gate, far exceeding deals presented by others dealerships. I visited every Jeep dealership from New Port Richey down to Venice Florida only finding extreme frustration and disappointment.....until I arrived at Douglas Jeep. My experience with them has renewed my faith that an honest, fair and straight to the point dealership does exist. I even went to the extreme of going back to the dealer nearest my home and telling them about my experience(in a public arena). Other dealerships should take a long hard look at Douglas' best practices and learn from them. After 22 years of buying vehicles, boats, ect I finally feel like I was treated with respect and honesty. More

The service was great! I had never been to Douglas Jeep, but what a great experience. It started with my salesman David Barth. It was a chilly morning and he was very help I had never been to Douglas Jeep, but what a great experience. It started with my salesman David Barth. It was a chilly morning and he was very helpful taking me Jeep to Jeep telling me all about each one. I was told by many people for me not to go with out a man, as they "all" take advatage of women. So NOT the case here. He was very friendly as the rest of the staff at Douglas, including Tim Young in finance. I also met many friendly customers who have purchased from them for years and told me many things about my Wrangler and all that is offered from Douglas. I called and spoke to General Manager Greg Douglas, and he had my questioned answered and had me connected to the person who could help with in a half an hours time. I am so happy with my purchase and have already told many friends and coworkers to reccomend Doulas Jeep to anyone. More
Love our new Cherokee! Craig is a breath of fresh air in the car buying world. I think anyone who has ever bought a car knows how awful and intimidating car buying can be, b Craig is a breath of fresh air in the car buying world. I think anyone who has ever bought a car knows how awful and intimidating car buying can be, but Craig made it easy and pleasant. He wasn't pushy and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help us find a car that was right for us rather than someone who just wanted to make a sale. My husband and I very much enjoyed the experience Craig provided for us and would definitely buy a car through him again. We are already pretty obsessed with our new Cherokee. Thanks Craig! More

Outstanding service BEYOND the factory warranty expiration I did not purchase this car at Douglas and I regret that, especially after this experience that I will share with you. I did purchase at a dealer 12 I did not purchase this car at Douglas and I regret that, especially after this experience that I will share with you. I did purchase at a dealer 12 miles north because they had the specific car we wanted at the time. The car is a 2011 Chrysler T&C Touring L that is fully loaded with options. The option I did not want was/is an electrically operated (stowing) third row seat. In the 4+ years we owned the car this seat was always temperamental and sometimes had to be manually persuaded to engage. In the past month it became totally inoperative making a loud grinding noise, and refusing to stow. The purchasing dealer stated that the car had a cracked seat frame and seat motor gears. This repair would be over $1500.+ tax. I had my independent mechanic remove the seat and he found only the motor drive gear cracked and missing a tooth. Reason: a Bakelite shroud which is designed to protect the gear where it meshes with the adjacent gear broke apart and jammed itself within the gears. Electrically the motor was fine. Numerous attempts to obtain a new, rebuilt or even a used (junkyard) motor were all in vain. This included window and seat motor re-builders. Back to my dealer for the parts, Chrysler only sells the entire seat frame with motors and harnesses attached at a part cost of $675. + tax. I went to Douglas (1st time) talked to Neil at the parts counter and he confirmed that the seat frame assembly is the only solution that Chrysler offers and the price is $675. He sympathized with my situation because I had the defective motor and gear in my hand. He asked a few more questions and suggested I talk to the service manager Don Glen. Don listened to my whole story and asked for the VIN, mileage etc. He then checked all my history and said he would Warranty the part for half price. Remember my factory warranty expired 14 months ago. I know this story if long but I will be forever grateful for the care, expertise, consideration and professionalism that Don Glen, Neil and Douglas Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge extended to me. I have had 37 cars (most purchased new) in my lifetime. This was my first Chrysler and WAS going to be my last. This experience has restored my faith and reversed my thinking. More
