I hate going to dealerships because as soon as you pull into the lot, you are bombarded with salespeople!!! You tell them what you're looking for and how much of a payment you can afford and they give you into the lot, you are bombarded with salespeople!!! You tell them what you're looking for and how much of a payment you can afford and they give you none of it!!!!! They try to suggestive sell what they want to. Our experience with Douglass Jeep was a God send when it came to our needs not theirs. We told Dan what we were looking at in vehicles and what we could afford for payments. He showed us four vehicles in our price range that he had on the lot. The one we were most interested in was a Chrysler 300 Touring sedan. I didn't want to get my hopes up. We took the car for a test drive and came back to the dealership. Dan filled out all the paperwork for us, gave us a payment we could work with and then took the paperwork to the financier. A little while later, after Dan treated us all to a soda, we were given a $10 price difference in the payment. I knew not to get my hopes up! We had to decline the car because that $10 was the breaking point for us. And just when I thought we had lost again, the financier told us he would work with us on a trade sight unseen if we drove the car back to them. We did just that and came away with one of our dream cars!!!!! I and my husband have never been treated this well at any dealership since we've been together which is now nine years and that is why I am writing this great review because these people and this dealership made one of our dreams come true and didn't jump all over us doing it !!!!! I recently visited Douglas Jeep to check out the Chrysler 200 Convertible. I had purchased a Mazda Miata, but soon realized that it was much too small to fit my long term needs. I was greeted by Art Hoffmann 200 Convertible. I had purchased a Mazda Miata, but soon realized that it was much too small to fit my long term needs. I was greeted by Art Hoffmann-----Art is a true professional. We talked about what I liked about my Miata, and what I did not like. He introduced me to the Chrysler 200, and demonstrated many of the features, including the operation of the convertible top. I was very impressed that you can lower it from the keyfob outside the vehicle. Art knows his product extremely well, and after taking a drive, I decided to make the purchase. I felt very much at ease through the entire process, not only with Art but everyone I spoke to. I would definitely recommend Douglas Jeep More

I usually don't leave reviews, but I have to say that this was the first time I ever walked out of a car dealership and didn't feel like I had to wipe the slime off me. I'm not a big computer guy, so I like to put in the leg work and visit at least 3 dealers to find myself the best deal. When I walked in to the showroom I was greeted by Art Hoffmann, who sat me down at his desk and let me explain to him what I was looking for, and what I wanted to pay for it. My grandmother always said that God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason...you should listen twice as much as you talk. I find this to be the marque of a good salesman. Art then took me outside and showed me a few Jeep Grand Cherokees that he thought would fit my needs. He had one in a steel grey color with all the options I was looking for. I drove the car, and we agreed pretty easily on the price. I had already told him what my bottom dollar was, and he came back with a price that was only a few hundred dollars higher, and he explained very convincingly that his price was a fair market price for the Jeep. I stuck to my number, and we ended up meeting in the middle like gentlemen. I told him that I was going to pay for the Jeep with a bank check, and I needed his final numbers to go to my bank and get a check cut, so he introduced me to their banking representative, who printed me out a copy of the bill to take to the bank. I was a little taken aback by this, since I have had other experiences where I felt like I was being held hostage by the dealer until I signed in blood on the dotted line. Anyway, I went to my bank, got the check, and when I arrived back at the dealer, my new Jeep was all washed and ready for me right in front of the dealership. I have to say that Art Hoffmann was a true gentleman, and I would not hesitate to recommend him or Douglas Chrysler to anyone. More

We looked online with cars.com to search for a dodge journey 2014 which was stated at $17k. We called ahead of time since it was over an hour to get there from Lakeland, we wanted to make sure that it h journey 2014 which was stated at $17k. The ad online and Craig did not tell us it wasn't a three row seater, as most of the journey's are. The only way to know was to look at the pictures, it had not stated it was only a 5 seater. So, needless to say we came out for no other reason. But instead of wasting the rest of the day we continued to see what they did have, though they only had 1 journey that met my desires at that location, I didn't have much to choose from. But I am happy with my car I chose, love the color and it's 3rd row of seats. The dealer did meet our price that we were quoted from another dealership for a very similar 2014 journey, which did go a long way in confirming our decision to purchase from their dealership. Only other issue was that they wouldn't tell us the cost of the car immediately. They had us filling out paperwork as if we were definitely going to buy a car from them but without previously knowing it's price. I did not like that. Other dealerships we had gone to before hand had honestly told us the price and all of the additional fees, etc before having us fill out paperwork and checking our credit ratings. Since we bought on a Sunday, the detail service area was closed. Knowing that we lived far away, the dealership filled up our gas tank and stated that if we wanted our car detailed, we could come back the next week and they would fill it up again for us for the travel expense on our part, this was very nice of them. We accepted and our car was detailed a few days later and refilled up with gas. More
