A great car buying experience I had been researching the small SUV market for about 6 months. I was intending to gather more information and check out the Cherokee, not to purchase. I met with Art Hoffmann, and we sat down and had a lengthy discussion concerning my wants and needs in a new car. He actually listened to me, and suggested a test drive. Visitor in trouble After an experience of lost keys and an errant alarm, I was stuck with windows that wouldn't work. First, after receiving no assistance at a locally preferred AAA service facility, I knew I must go to the local dreaded dealer, most known for exorbitant labor rates. A friend who lives in the area took me to Douglas Chrysler/ Jeep. I was greeted by a very friendly service advisor who told me he would try to see what he could do. The idea of driving 1200 miles without functioning windows, with two young children, was not a pleasant thought much less dealing with toll booths in the NorthEast. Mr. Tim Racco, the service advisor, provided myself and my friend with a ride home and two hours later informed me the vehicle was fixed. The bill was within reason and the experience was certainly made much more pleasant through the efforts of Mr. Racco. I am considering moving to the Venice area and you can be sure if this is the way that tourists are treated Douglas Chrysler/Jeep will be my regular repair shop as well as the first stop if I am looking for a new vehicle.
