Done Deal Motors responded

On November 7, 2016, Ednir D'Oliveira purchased a 2009 Audi A4 VIN #: WAUSF78KX9N073136, from us. Done Deal Motors fully services all vehicles that we sell. Prior to selling this Audi to Mr. D'Oliveira, the oil pump was replaced by Audi of Westwood as a necessary repair, and Audi of Westwood did not find any other issues with the vehicle. On Wednesday November 23, 2016, Mr. D'Oliveira notified us via email that the Audi was burning a significant amount of oil and we scheduled a service appointment with the offer of a loaner vehicle for December 13, 2016 (per scheduling request of Mr. D'Oliveira). On December 13, 2016, Mr. D'Oliveira came in to drop off his vehicle for the service appointment for the oil burning issue and refused to take the loaner we offered to him. Mr. D'Oliveira left with his Audi that day December 13, 2016. On December 21, 2016, Mr. D'Oliveira emailed us that the issue was persisting and we replied to him that he can schedule an appointment with Audi of Westwood and we will pay for the repairs. Mr. D'Oliveira scheduled an appointment at Audi of Westwood for December 27, 2016, however, Mr. D'Oliveira did not show up to Audi of Westwood for December 27, 2016 and rescheduled for January 27, 2017. During this time period, Mr. D'Oliveira kept driving the Audi which was having the oil burning issue. On January 27, 2017, Mr. D'Oliveira showed up to Audi of Westwood, the Audi technicians performed a diagnostic test and found that the oil was two quarts over-filled. Done Deal Motors did not put that oil in the vehicle and the last recorded oil change was when Audi replaced the oil pump prior to the sale of the vehicle and the oil level was correct, so somewhere during the time Mr. D'Oliveira had the Audi in his possession, there was an inaccurate amount of oil put in (Mr. D'Oliveira had told Audi of Westwood that he had been adding a quart of oil every 600-700 miles). Audi of Westwood, removed the excess oil, made sure the oil level was correct, checked the spark plugs, checked the engine compression, checked the engine cylinders, and there were no other issues found. To make sure there were no other issues, Audi of Westwood performed an oil consumption test which required Mr. D'Oliveira to drive a certain amount of miles and then return to Audi of Westwood for final diagnostics. Mr. D'Oliveira, did not return to Audi of Westwood as instructed, instead on March 2, 2017, Mr. D'Oliveira went to Mattie Imports (Mr. D'Oliveira's mechanic of choice) after driving 4,194 miles since his last visit to Audi of Westwood on January 27, 2017. Mr. D'Oliveira told Mattie Imports that the check engine light is on and the engine is misfiring. Mattie Imports said that the Audi needs the cylinder heads to be replaced. On March 3, 2017, Mr. D'Oliveira called Done Deal Motors, spoke the sales manager and the sales manager told him to come in to talk about the issue. Mr. D'Oliveira came in on March 3, 2017, spoke with owner Dmitry Golub in regards to this issue. Dmitry requested that Mr. D'Oliveira give him time until Monday March 6, 2017 to research what can be done about this issue and then Mr. D'Oliveira and Dmitry will meet on Monday March 6, 2017 and discuss what can be done about this issue. On Monday March 6, 2017, Mr. D'Oliveira came in and Dmitry requested that he leave the Audi with us so that we can diagnose and see what the issue is ourselves so as to effectively service the issue and Dmitry also offered Mr. D'Oliveira a loaner vehicle. Mr. D'Oliveira again refused the loaner vehicle, said that he does not trust us to work on his Audi, and the only option that would satisfy him would be for Done Deal Motors to buy the vehicle back. Done Deal Motors refused to do so because we are not responsible for customer negligence and the fact that the customer drove so many miles while there was supposedly an issue with the vehicle (even though Audi of Westwood specified there was not the last time they saw the vehicle on January 27,2017). Another factor is that Mr. D'Oliveira drove 8,097 miles between the time he purchased the vehicle on November 7, 2016 and when he went to Mattie Imports on March 2, 2017 which is a time span of almost four months. Done Deal Motors has made all efforts to be helpful to Mr. D'Oliveira and he has been unreasonable in his requests.
