No games, no messing around. Once on the lot with price quote in hand Shawn was a pleasure to deal with in person. There were no hidden fees, crazy add-ons, or sales games played once on site. We were told that Don Jacobs had changed their sales tactics (see the reviews on this site for their BMW dealership), so we went there Saturday 2/23 to see for ourselves. We picked out a Honda CRV and w tactics (see the reviews on this site for their BMW dealership), so we went there Saturday 2/23 to see for ourselves. We picked out a Honda CRV and were given a price by the salesman, Tom. He then went to get it approved by his sales manager, and it was in fact approved. We left with the price written on the back of Tom's business card. This morning (Monday) when we called to arrange purchase and pick up of the car we were told "Oh, I forgot to add on the protection package, so it's going to be another $340." I told him that was unacceptable and we expected to pay the price he gave us for the car. He refused to do so. So Tom, are you dishonest or incompetent? In my personal opinion, those would seem to be the only choices in this case. And the irony is that we saved money by looking elsewhere for the same car. Lesson learned as well, we will never be back to Don Jacobs. More
