Everything that people hate about car dealerships in one pla I went to this dealership based on an ad' for a used vehicle. The vehicle was as advertised, the salesman, Bill, was good to work with and took a no I went to this dealership based on an ad' for a used vehicle. The vehicle was as advertised, the salesman, Bill, was good to work with and took a no-pressure approach since I knew what I wanted and was prepared. This is where the pleasant part of the experience ends. A couple weeks later I received letters from multiple loan sources about the loan I applied for at Don Jackson. I went with funds and didn't need financing, nor did I approve them soliciting loans on my behalf. It took quite some time and effort to get these things removed from my very good credit rating. Fast forward to the end of August. The vehicle was purchased mid-July and the temporary plate expired on Sept. 2. Numerous calls to the dealership weren't answered...one day it was raining all over the metro area and not likely all the folks were in the lot selling cars...and my voice mails left on the secretary's phone were not returned. As it stands now, Thurs. Aug. 31, still no tag and no returned phone call. Likely I'll have to go there in person, a pretty good drive from my home, but at least I may be able to persuade any potential customers in the showroom to get out of there before it's too late. This kind of service can't possibly be an isolated event. When you apply for loans without authorization , when you don't answer your phones, when you don't return repeated voice mails - you have a systemic integrity and character problem. More

Slick talking salesman A salesman called me following up on an internet lead, promising that "we wont let any numbers get in the way". I told him what I expected minimum for my trade over the phone and he didn't say anything otherwise about it. I also told him what my bottom line finance amount would be, "no problem," he said, "we can find a way to work with it". Told him which stock number i was most interested in and he never once even implied there would be an issue working it out. When he asked in person what I wanted for my trade he laughed at me (it was an aggressive offer, which he knew was coming), then told me it wasn't even worth what I had been offered elsewhere. When i pointed out the tires were prematurely worn on the test drive and worn unevenly he derisively told me "well you're going to have costs down the road no matter what". The sales manager or finance guy tried to bamboozle me with the trade offer and suggested that they were being fair in their listing price of the vehicle, showing me NADA printouts and making quite a show of it. I noticed that for mine they put the condition as "rough" and theirs as "average", essentially shorting me around 2,000 for the trade. All they had to say is that they wont budge on the price and they are going to give bottom dollar for trades and if you don't roll over they will be disrespectful clowns. Would have saved me a 100 mile round trip. They better never contact me again. "Real money" my butt. More
