I was recently in the market for a Honda Civic and I had located a car that I was interested in at another local dealership. I stopped by Don Ayres Honda to talk with Joe Parra whom I spoken with in the pa located a car that I was interested in at another local dealership. I stopped by Don Ayres Honda to talk with Joe Parra whom I spoken with in the past and trusted his opinion. I wanted to see if they felt that I was getting a good deal and if the car would still be certified or not since it was sold as a certified car to another customer about a year ago. Joe took a look at the deal that I had with me from the other dealer and asked if he could show it to the sales manager and I said that would be fine. They said that it was in fact a good deal, but wanted to know if they could beat the deal if I would be interested in buying a Civic from them instead. I was very interested, because I would much rather by a Honda from a Honda dealer and also liked the fact that it would be certified and come with a warranty from Honda! They worked hard to get my business on this one and I ended up buying their car instead! The customer service provided from them both before and after the sale was awesome! My wife and I were impressed and will be back in the future! I did end up having to replace the tires on the car because they were extremely noisy...I was not happy about that part, but after putting 4 new Michelin tires on the car...the ride is much better and quieter!!! Overall I am still happy and glad I decided to by my Civic from Joe instead. On a side note...we also just purchased another car from another local dealer and we were not nearly as happy with the service we were provided by them! Thank you Joe and Bill!!! George Widman (hard fact in 7 years I have trusted "only" Don Ayres to service my vehicle. I purchased my Honda Pilot NEW from Don Ayres sales rep. George Widman (hard wording honest)in 2004. I have followed the recommended service schedule. I appreciate the friendly service reminders mailed directly to my home with intuitive precision just as I'm about to hit the recommended mileage. With over 230,000 carefree miles serviced solely by Doug Settle's well managed team, my car still drives like new! As a single mother of two children, I have always felt confident that my pilot would take us safely to our destination. We live in the country and have easily navigated through a variety of harsh weather challenges. Stay tuned for my 300,000+ update. :-) In the spirit of full disclosure: Although the Auto Body shop may have employees with great skills and Dustin is kind and professional, I have not been as satisfied with the body shop due to what I perceived as an unprofessional communication style by the body shop manager to me. I have always found that the service guys really take good care of my Civic. And the time involved is almost always acceptable. 4 Hondas so far. Doug Settle, service dept manager, is the only car repair person I have ever completely trusted (and I am an old guy who has owned 49 cars)! Honda makes a great car. very good price on a used car in excellent condition. Excellent trade value for vehicle traded in, also. Every time I bring our car in for service it is a pleasant experience. The service department is very professional and courteous. WE have owned Honda's for the past 25 years. All was good up to dealing with mr. todd in f and i.His attitude and demeanor was almost enough for me to cancel deal.When asking to see new contract he acted if we were out of line for doing so,his remark attitude and demeanor was almost enough for me to cancel deal.When asking to see new contract he acted if we were out of line for doing so,his remark was there is nothing underhanded going on here all is the same as day before.My response was that this is my money and good buss. to review any changes.I assured him that i was not implying any dishonesty on don ayres behalf.I was made to feel uncomfortable.Had my wife and i not gone thru so much to choose this car i would have walked at that time.Mr fenoglio was very easy to deal with and kind to say the least.If i decide to trade again he would be the person for me.My wife loves the car and we know it will serve us well being a honda. At the start of my new car purchase process I thought I would end up with a Camry. After doing my initial research I thought I would be buying a Sonata. After visiting the dealerships and taking a test drive, I purchased an Accord. Shannon was very friendly and helpful - this factored into my purchase decision. The dealership was very willing to work with me on the price also. Based on these factors I would have rated my overall experience a 5. The financing portion of the deal was a slightly different matter. I felt Mr. Todd was a bit pushy when it came to additional options. I have a background in finance and a close relative who served as an auto dealership finance manager so I have a decent understanding of auto financing. Mr. Todd didn't do anything offensive or underhanded. He did his best salesman job to sell options. This reduced my overall experience from a 5 to a 4. I'm still impressed with the dealership and look forward to long-term relationship. More
