It's been a long road for me here, a former Detroiter in southwest Florida, to find an auto dealer that I've really liked. I've had some truly horrible experiences in Naples and, until recently, thought tha southwest Florida, to find an auto dealer that I've really liked. I've had some truly horrible experiences in Naples and, until recently, thought that I'd have to drive for hours to find a competent service department for my '06 Pontiac GTO. Now, however, I have found Dixie. This dealer treated me like an actual person from the get-go. I was able to talk to the service manager about his technicians and the shop's capabilities before bringing the car in for service. When I arrived, service consultant Lynne Dedad was a pleasure to work with, took careful note of all of my concerns and had many years of knowledge about the product. Not only that, she was an actual fan of Pontiac -- a rare thing, I've found, among employees at Pontiac dealers who mostly just seem to be going through the motions. The work was performed in a timely and very competent fashion. When I got the car back, absolutely nothing was damaged. The tire rotation, balance and alignment had improved the ride, the brake fluid flush and fill was done properly and with the correct DOT 4 fluid as per the manual, and the LS2's leaking oil galley plug was fixed without any adverse effects. This was quite a treat for me, someone who has become almost numb to the likelihood that I'll find several new flaws with my vehicle when it returns from the service department, owing to shoddy workmanship or clumsy employees. You'll find none of that at Dixie, as far as I can tell. With the retirement of the Pontiac nameplate, it's nice to know that Dixie is still maintaining exemplary service and customer attention at their former Pontiac shop just up the street in Fort Myers. Although my GTO has been almost entirely trouble-free for the four and a half years I've owned it, I can at least rest easy that should anything go wrong, I have a place to take it where I won't worry about how it's treated. If you have a Pontiac that's still under warranty, I recommend making this your go-to shop for repairs -- or even scheduled maintenance. More
You can communicate with these people via e-mail, telephone, face-to-face. Make it easy on yourself. This is a great place to do business. No B.S. they treat you like family. Pulled into the service department sat for a bit and finally seen someone come out then notice the service tech address the customer that had pulled in behind my wife and myself. Then said service tech went back to his desk and begain drinking his coffee or what ever it was. Didn't even look in our direction or acknowledge we were there. More
Went in looking for a new Sierra and Greg was great, he knew his trucks and got me just what I wanted. Dixie has been around for a long time for a good reason, they take care of their customers. Sort of a stereotypical salesperson, but the dealership generally treats its customers very well. I got a really fantastic deal on a Pontiac Vibe, and the management sent me straight to service, no questio generally treats its customers very well. I got a really fantastic deal on a Pontiac Vibe, and the management sent me straight to service, no questions asked, when I heard a mild squealing below the dash. Would advice anybody to go to Dixie, and I hope they survive the GM reshuffle. More
