Inaccurate Service Diagnosis I brought my 2012 Malibu to Dimmit Chevrolet service department because my engine would start to run rough, then the engine light came on. This was occurring sporadically, nothing consistent about the car running rough and I fully explained this to the service advisor. They had the car for a few days and said they tested several components and they think the intake valve on #2 cylinder had carbon build up and needs to be cleaned. I was quoted at $2,200 - $3,600. After a few days I was told they need to remove both cylinder heads and clean all the valves, V6 engine, and they would keep the price within the quoted range. I found out the car was out of warranty by GM by 4 months and there was nothing Dimmit could help with cost wise. I called GM warranty and discussed the situation with a "Senior Advisor". I understand the warranty is out, but It is unreal to have a car with less than 55k miles, the warranty just expire and the entire top half of the engine needs to be removed and the valves cleaned. I explained that I am not looking for 100% assistance but some help from somewhere. GM denied my request as they did not find me to be a valued customer, they could not see in their system that I was a chevy owner. I was very upset as I currenty own a 2012 Chevy Malibu and a 2012 Chevy Equinox, and in 2013 I bought a 2011 Chevy Malibu. I have plenty of monthly payments to prove I have owned chevy vehicles. Dimmet Chevy called and said the car was fixed and the bill was $3,892.00. I paid my high bill, got my keys and left. I drove less than ONE MILE away from the dealership and my car started to run rough and the engine light came on again. This is absolutely not a desirable event after paying $3,800 dollars and the car has the same problem as when I brought it into the dealership. I called the service department and returned the car the next day which was Wednesday 1-18-17. They still have the car and I have not heard a single word since then. The service advisor I have been speaking with has been the ONLY good experience thus far. He has not yet given me any good news, but he has been helpful, understanding and professional. I hope that in the coming days I can change my review of Dimmit Chevy from 1 star. I will most definitely update this and other reviews of Dimmit as new events arise. More

They got our vehicles ready and then said they were $15k and $14k. We showed them the online price and the manager said "you're a smart guy, you should know that there are terms to those prices". He kept saying that it was still a great deal. He's right it was still a great deal but extremely deceptive. We didn't qualify for the discount on both cars, only 1. Great dealership but they will pull a fastball and raise the price. The manager on duty even admitted that their online prices weren't true. GM looked into the matter and said "Dimmit is doubling the manufacture discount online then not honoring that amount" Great deals, just know that you're going to pay an additional $2-3k then they advertise online. If you ask why the price went up, they will dodge the question by saying "Well its still a great price" then play dumb. GM is currently looking into the dealership. More

Service Department I have been to almost all of the Chevrolet Dealerships in the Tampa Bay area and Dimmitt Chevrolet it the ABSOLUTE BEST !!! David Rutter and his staf I have been to almost all of the Chevrolet Dealerships in the Tampa Bay area and Dimmitt Chevrolet it the ABSOLUTE BEST !!! David Rutter and his staff are TOP NOTCH. Heidi Unger was my service manager and she did an EXCELLANT Job.. was very attentive, understood my repair needs and service needed. I had a noise and David Rutter even drove my vehicle with the technician and called me while on the road test to get more information on the noise I was hearing....(way above and beyond my expectations). Heidi kept me well informed throughput the repair process. They even gave me a MEW Truck to drive while mine was being repaired. Other Chevrolet Dealers in the area should take lessons from Dimmitt Chevrolet on Customer Satisfaction.. They set the bar very high... I am now a Dimmitt Customer for life...They are the BEST in the Bay Area. More

Buyer beware I am less than satisfied with the Dimmitt Chevrolet organization. They sold a truck to my son 5 months ago and in that time we have had to replac I am less than satisfied with the Dimmitt Chevrolet organization. They sold a truck to my son 5 months ago and in that time we have had to replace the battery, the alternator, and now the fuel pump is bad. I expect this organization to stand behind the vehicle they sold. Every person I've spoken to said you declined to get an extended warranty. Well obviously with Dimmitt Chevrolet if you want your car to be in any kind of working condition after you drive it off the lot you have to purchase an extended warranty because their vehicle quality is less than one would expect after 5 months of owning a vehicle. Every person I've spoken to at this organization has told me everything that they cannot do and nothing that they can so to fix the situation. I've been lectured to and insulted by 5 different people including their marketing executive who needs a customer service 101 class on how to listen. So buyer beware if you purchase a vehicle at Dimmitt Chevrolet make sure you you buy an extended warranty because their vehicle quality is evidently only good for that first 90 days. More

But one the things i have a problem with and its not a really big deal is, i bought a car from here and the next day i realized that there was a couple of gouges in the headliner and they said that not to accuse you but did you or your son do this to the headliner??? I said no and they said that the guys who check these vehicals wouldn't miss that! But i missed when looking over the car before buying it. People make mistakes. All i wanted was it fixed. But other than this i will be back to do business with this dealership because the sales crew and everyone else are great!!! More
